Everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true.
Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Loosing someone hurts.
Everyone confuses these things with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us...
I smiled when I read Lucy's text but decided not to reply back. For some reason I felt like it was the right thing to do. I then changed into a black and white suit and ran down the stairs, cherishing every second. For all I know I could not return back to my house in a year after today.
My mum gave me a look full of worry and then hugged me. I stood there for a while and then hugged her back.
"You're a very naughty boy." She whispered. I wasn't so sure if she was telling me off or not, the tone in her voice just sounded upset. She then let go and looked at me whilst squeezing my hands.
"I'll be fine." I reassured, walking to get some breakfast. Although to be truthful I wasn't so sure. All I did was punch her. Yes, punching her was wrong. But the police are acting as though I've been punching her for weeks. I guess it just shows how strict the cops in America really are.
My sister then slowly walked in the room. I turned around the second she called out my name. Her eyes were bloodshot and I could see that she was trembling when she let out her arms to hug me. I walked towards her and gave her a hug, forcing the tears inside of my eyes to not escape.
"Juwany you really should eat something." My mum said, patting me on the back. Jennishka let go of me and ran back upstairs, probably to put on some formal clothes for court. I sat down with my mum and began eating.
"Have you been in touch with Lucy?"
I nodded, her warm smile appearing in my mind. I then let out a smile myself.
"She seems to make you very happy."
I nodded again, eating another spoonful of cereal.
My mum let out a chuckle and went on her phone. I looked at the screen to see her stalking Lucy's instagram.
"She's a very pretty girl." My mum observed.
I couldn't help but feel jealous when I saw pictures of Lucy with Mario. However, I felt even more jealous when I saw her most recent picture.
On Lucy's left was a beautiful girl tagged as Isla. But, to her left was a boy who had his arm over Lucy's shoulders. I must admit he looked really handsome. He was tagged as Jack. My mum clicked on his profile, clearly thinking the same as I was and read out his bio. To my relief, Isla's name was on their with a few hearts.
"They must be dating." I murmured. My mum then clicked on a few of his selfies. A lot of them were with Isla. But most of them were selfies of himself which must mean that he loves the way he looks which isn't a bad thing.

"She's perfect.." I whispered. I then stopped myself from staring, feeling a little ashamed. "Not as perfect as Lucy though."
"Of course." My mum chuckled. But to be honest I think we both knew deep inside that Isla was clearly more stunning.
An alarm then came off to remind us to leave to go to court. I looked at my mum with an anxious expression but she just smiled, looking even more anxious, and then squeezed my hand.
"Let's get this over and done with." My mum whispered. She then yelled for Jennishka and walked out of the house, me and my sister following.
