Chapter 64

Geo went to get interviewed first. He walked straight into the room without any hesitation or looking back. 

"This is so scary." Mario whispered after sitting in silence for about two minutes. I nodded my head, my gaze focused on whatever was in front of me. 

"Sometimes I wish I never dated Geo." I admitted out of nowhere. "Then we'd still be happy together as best friends."

"Well.. you always have me."

I looked at him and then quickly looked away, feeling awkwardness fill inside of me. 

"Uh well as a friend, you know?"

I nodded and then squeezed his hand. Not because I "like" him but because I was terrified for Geo. Mario didn't say anything but I could tell just by looking at his face that he was just as nervous. 

"We'll be okay." He said, half to himself. 

I didn't say anything back. It's obvious that Mario will be okay. He'll just go back home. But as for me.. I'll get flown back to England. 

After about ten minutes, a door slowly creaked open and before you know it Ariel was crouching in front of us, looking annoyed.

To be honest I was expecting to see her. She stared at our hands and Mario slowly let go. I looked at Mario with confusion whilst I tried to read his expression but then turned back to Ariel as she began talking.

"Explain everything." She snapped. 

Mario did the honours. He explained how me and him aren't in too much trouble and Geo's getting interviewed for being abusive.

The face Ariel pulled when the word abusive popped out was exactly how I felt at the moment. Complete devastation and disappointment. We both know that he's better than that. 

"Sometimes we just get angry I guess.." I sighed. 

Mario let out a snort of laughter. "Yeahhh." He replied sarcastically. "So angry that we could beat someone up."

"All he did was punch her."

"All he did?"

I didn't say anything else because I knew Mario had a point. It's just hard seeing the person you love get into serious trouble. Life threatening trouble. 

Ariel left after about twenty minutes because her mum had texted her to come back home as it was getting late. Then Mario left to get interviewed and Geo came out. He took the seat next to me, the exact one Mario was sitting in and then stared at the floor in what seemed like a strop.

"Thanks a lot." He muttered.

I didn't reply. I just stared at him, waiting for him to explain as to why he's annoyed at me. I tried my best to hide how happy I was that we were speaking.

"I'm probably going to jail because of you."

"Yeah well I'm going to England which is like jail for me so we're equal."

Geo rolled his eyes. "You could have at least said sorry." 

I sighed and then relaxed my shoulders which were all tense. "I'm sorry Geo. I shouldn't have talked about you being abusive.."

Geo then turned to look at me. I could see warmth in his gaze when our eyes met and I'm sure I was the same.

"I don't want you to leave on a bad note."

"Well maybe you should have thought twice before kissing Loren."

Geo opened his mouth to defend himself but then got interrupted when a police man entered the room. He looked directly at Geo and then ordered for him to follow. Geo hesitated whilst looking at me. I knew that he was thinking the exact same thing that I was thinking. 

Is this the last time we'll ever see each other?
