Chapter 10

"I've tried telling him." Ariel sighed, staring at the floor. "I don't know how he could ever doubt you Luc."

I didn't reply. I stared at Geo who was still facing forwards. My heart beat was racing right now. Geo would never doubt me, he'd always trust me. He'd know that i'd never do such a thing. But this Geo.. he knows nothing about me. All he knows is that i'm a dumb 15 year old who's head over heels in love with him. 

"Geo, I would never-"

"How am I meant to know that though?" Geo snapped. "I've forgotten everything. EVERYTHING. The only people who I remember is my family, Ariel and Mario. If you really meant something to me, I would have remembered you. So stop saying that I would never doubt you and all that crap because i'm not falling for it." 

"Geo!" Ariel gasped. 

Geo rolled his eyes at her. "Why am I even here?"

Ariel stood up to slap him but I stopped her. I grabbed her hand and stared at her. My eyes were filling up with tears and so was hers. "Just leave it." I whispered, sniffing. "He's lost his memory and he's confused. That's all."

Geo finally looked at me, but instead of giving me his usual warm gaze he gave me a death glare. "You don't know me." He spat, "so stop acting like you do."

"I could punch you right now." Mario said aggressively out of nowhere. 

An amused smile appeared on Geo's face. "Try me." He smirked, standing up.

Mario stood up too and Ariel tried to stop them both. But Geo pushed her away, causing her to fall on her bed. I helped Ariel get up but it was too late, Geo punched Mario straight in the nose.

"MARIO!" I shrieked, running up towards Mario and resting his head on my hands. "Mario, are you okay?"

I started to cry and Ariel stood there with her hands covering her mouth. She looked shocked, very shocked. I probably looked just as shocked. What happened to the old Geo?

Mario nodded and went to finish the fight but I stopped him. "Mario," I whispered, "please don't."

Mario sighed and wiped his nose. Ariel offered him a pack of tissues so he could clean up. She then walked him towards the sink. 

I stared at Geo in horror. He looked horrified himself. 

"I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me-"

"Just go."

"Lucy, I really didn't mean to-"

"I said go."

Geo opened his mouth to speak but then stopped himself. He grabbed his coat which he had thrown onto the floor and walked away. 

I then collapsed onto Ariel's bed and bursted into tears. 

Why do I love him so much?
