I stared at Ariel lying down in the hospital bed with tearful eyes as Geo squeezed me close to him. My head rested on his chest as we both stared at our close friend getting fussed over with anxious looking doctors.

"It seems as though she's been poisoned." One of the doctors told us as he stuck something into Ariel's limp arm. Panic rose inside of me after he said the last word, this is ten times worse than what I thought happened. However, Geo tightly grabbed my hand after he noticed me looking so scared to decrease my worry levels.

"If Jack could have been saved then so can Ariel." Geo reassured me. To be honest I felt ten times better after what he told me, but a part of me still felt like crying. I mean Ariel's like a sister to me... she's important in so many people's lives, her dying will be devastating.

"Does Mario know?" Asked Geo and I shook my head, letting out a long and deep sigh. Geo frowned. "He needs to know."

"Does he though?" I challenged, "because I'm pretty sure all it'll do is worry him."

"He's going to worry enough about Ariel being away for so long, he'll eventually find out and then he'll be mad about you not telling him. Just call him Luc, it wont make you evil."

He was right. Although calling Mario was the last thing I wanted to do right now, he needs to know before he finds out himself and everything gets ten times worse. I grabbed my iPhone with my shaking hand and then clicked on Mario's name after scrolling through my contacts as I walked out of the room, thankful that Geo didn't follow. I sat down on my own bed whilst noticing Acacia walk into the same room as my boyfriend. It didn't faze me too much as I knew (or hoped) that Geo is loyal now, but a frown still creased my forehead as my eyes gazed at her.

"Lucy?" Mario had finally responded, making me jump in shock.

"Mario... I need to tell you something." I had no idea what to say or where to start, I should have planned this out beforehand. Now I felt like a nervous wreck, I even began sweating from nerves.

"Can I tell you something first?" He asked excitedly, making my heart drop in sadness. He didn't even let me respond, before I could say anything he was already blabbing on about what he needed to tell me. "The TLG tour is next week and me, you and Ariel are going on it! You excited?"

"Mario... this isn't the time." I hated bringing down the mood but it had to be done. "Because Ariel may not be joining us."

There was silence for a while. A silence which I hated because it brought too many disturbing thoughts into my mind about poor Ariel and vile Loren. After what seemed like hours he finally responded by saying in a quiet, low voice: "I don't think I want to hear this..."

"I have to tell you. I don't want to but... you'll end up finding out yourself anyway." I took a deep breath as I prepared myself to tell Mario the news. For all I know Ariel could be fine and I'm just overreacting. "Ariel's in hospital. Somebody had poisoned her." I wanted to tell him it was Loren, but at the same time knew that it may not be her. It was kind of obvious... but I wasn't certain.

The reply from Mario was a sniff, soon followed by a sob.

"Mario please calm down." I tried to say as calmly as possible, "the doctors are looking after her properly, I'm sure she'll be fine."

But in reality I wasn't sure in the slightest. She could have been poisoned ages ago, which meant she would be dead by now. I wanted to think of the positives but it was hard to when the negatives in the situation seemed all too real.

80k...? Yoo I'm so shocked rn... and happy!! This is a dream come true... ever since I was nine I was in love with writing stories so this really does mean a lot to me. If I ever hit 100k whilst this story is still going on then I'll probably cry xD Seriously though this means the world to me!! Thank you all so much!!! :'))
