"What if they hate me?"
"Kai-"
"What if my hair, like, melts because of all the tension? Or, or, if I start choking, but they just stand there because they hate me? Would you bring flowers to my funeral? I'm thinking red and white for my caske-"
"You're not going to die!" You said, shaking him to stop his rant. Geez, you already met most of the ninja, and that wasn't a big deal. Why is it a problem to meet your family?
Well, I guess your dad was a little intimidating, and your mom was a little camera crazy (which he already knew, he met the woman), but they weren't that bad, as far as embarrassing parents go.
"Uh, y/n?" Your dad called from the living room. "Can you tell your boyfriend that we can hear everything he's saying, and that red and white is a really tacky color scheme?"
You heard a swat and a "ow." As your mother hit your dad, most likely with her book she was reading. "D/n! Be nice!"
"Honey, you know how I feel about candy canes!"
You looked back at Kai as your parents argued in the living room about candy canes. To your relief, he looked less nervous.
"See?" You smiled reassuringly "they don't bite."
"Hard!" your dad called.
Swat.
"Be nice!"

"So, Kai. What do you do for living?" Your dad asked, sitting down at the table for dinner. You mentally face palmed as you continued to eat your food. He knew exactly what Kai did. He just wanted to make him squirm.
"Well, I'm a ninja."
"And what does that job entail, exactly?"
"Well, I sort of save lives.... protect the city with my brothers."
"So you sort of save lives? Like, almost but not completely?"
"Mom, tell dad to stop harassing my boyfriend!" You whined
Your mom gave your dad a stern look. "What did we talk about, d/n?"
"Not to make the kid uncomfortable, yeah yeah, I know."
Your mom smiled a Kai, and he some what smiled back.
"Relax, sweetie. He's just messing with you. As far as I'm concerned, you're a nice boy. I more than approve of your relationship with my daughter."
"Our daughter, m/n." Your dad corrected. "And yes, I think he's great too." Kai visibly relaxed. "Now, who's ready for desert?"

Yesterday, going down the stairs, I fell and bruised my thigh.

Hurts like a bitch. It really does.

So, last Saturday I went to my friends birthday party, which he had at a skating rink. Which had one little problem.

Can't roller skate or blade for shit.

So me and my other friend were clinging to the wall, trying so hard not to fall, while he skated circles around us. I actually did fall a couple..... million times.

BUT, I DID GET A STUFF PIG OUT OF IT, SO ITS ALL GOOD!

Plus, my friend had a good birthday, so it was worth all my new bruises.
