You have his powers for a day - Kai

So, Saphire_Angel1546 requested a "when you get powers" scenario, but I asked her if I could do something a little different.

So, here is what I came up with.

Kai was irritated.
Not only did you somehow get his elemental powers, but you also decided the coolest thing to do with them was to roast marshmallows.
"This is literally the first thing you thought to do when you found out you had my powers?" Kai asked in disbelief. "Roasting marshmallows?"
"Yes." You popped one in your mouth, and held another over the flame coming from your finger tip. "You never do this when I ask. I'm putting these powers to good use."
Kai had been watching you for an hour now, and kept trying to convince you to atleast do something cool with his powers. But after the look you gave him when he suggested you burn your mom's patch of tulips outside, he stopped.
"Sensei said this was supposed to only last a day, so don't get used to it."
"How did this even happen?" You asked, watching as your hand caught fire. This was actually cooler than you would like to admit. Kai would never let you hear the end of it.
He shrugged. "I've fought giant snakes, seen Lloyd be possessed, and ate something that Cole made without throwing up before. I've learned not to question things."
"Well so much for my curiosity." You muttered while standing up. "Okay, I think I had my fun. Let's go do something cool."
"Like what?"
"I never really liked those cabbages my mom planted." You said, while Kai grinned.

Your mom found you in her used to be cabbage patch with Kai, both of you smeared with soot and ash. It was safe to say you were grounded for a few years.

I saved the flowers but.....
