He gets hurt - Zane

Family stuff. That's really all I can say on why I was away  longer than I wanted to be.

The way Zane moved was almost graceful. Unlike you, who not only tripped over a pebble on the sidewalk, but also some how managed to defy gravity and trip up the stairs.
He was also very smart, a trait commonly known by almost everyone, even those who didn't know him personally.
Which was why you couldn't help but gape at the ice ninja in silence when he told you exactly why he was in the emergency room getting stitches on his hand and arm.
Finally, after an uncomfortable silence, you yelled"What do you mean you were playing real life fruit ninja?!"
More importantly, if he was doing something that involved being a ninja, a job he did well, how did he hurt himself?
The tips Zane's ears turned red.
"It was a dare. And, unfortunately, I can only use one sword. Two, well..." He raised his bandaged arm and hand slightly.
You pinched the bridge of your nose, not believing you were associating the word "stupid" with Zane of all people.
"In a way, it was worth it." Zane said, almost to himself.
You looked at him, eyebrow raised. "How so?"
"Well, if I didn't do the dare, the punishment was that I had to eat Cole's cooking for a week."
And just like that, Zane was smart again for taking the least dangerous option.
