Ice cream was best on hot days.
Unfortunately for you, today was a hot day.
You got a summer job at an Ice cream place near the beach. You thought it would be easy, but it wasn't. Especially not with the heat that's been going on for the past week.
You were always busy. You didn't even have a break anymore because by the time you got back, there would be a line as long as a football field.
You've only been working for an hour, and already you were tired and sweating buckets. And you were on your last nerve. When people are hot and waiting for ice cream for a long time, they tend to be rude.
Which was why you were surprised to see a smiling face when you called the next person up to order.
And even more surprised that it was your boyfriend.
"Hi y/n." He said cheerfully.
"How did you find out where I worked?" You didn't tell him, because knowing him he would come to bug you everyday.
"I asked your mom."
Mom never could keep a secret.
"Okay.... Well, are you going to order or are you just here to annoy me?"
"Neither, actually. Though the second option is tempting. I wanted to ask you to go to a water park with me."
"Lloyd, I'm working."
"Oh please. Would you rather go to a water park with your hot boyfriend, or stay here dying of heat and dealing with rude customers?"
Well when he put it like that.....
You threw down your ice cream scoop, and hopped over the counter.
Grabbing Lloyd's hand, you ran away screaming, "IT'S SUMMER BIATCHES!!!!" While all the people stared, to shocked to react.
