Catalina's POV "The answer is negative," I tell James as he tries to find the answer to the question. He looks at me and rolls his eyes. "Just saying." He chuckles, setting down his pencil. "Do you ever realize how your always right?" He asks. I shrug. "I would get annoyed with myself I wasn't wrong every now and again," he says. "I've been wrong plenty of mistakes, I just prefer not to be wrong," I say. He takes my hand from across the table and draws something on my wrists. "What are you drawing?" He looks at me through his long lashes. "You'll have to wait and see," he says with a wink. I can't help but swoon. I've liked him for three years and he has never looked at me the same way. The cafe door opens, making the bell ring. Someone rests their hand on my shoulder. Tori looks down at me with a smile. Beside her is Draven. Sometimes I admire her for her rebelliousness, but at others I think she's crazy. They sit down in the free chair next to us. James hasn't taken his eyes off my wrists since he started. "You two are so cute," Tori says with a smile. "We're just friends," I tell her. Draven's and mines eyes meet for a split second as I say that. His are very pretty; green, with some yellow color. James let's go of my hand, letting me move my wrist. He draw a flower, making it look like its coming from my skin. I smile at him. A blush forms in his cheeks as he looks back at the textbook. "C-can I talk to you alone for a second?" He asks me as he stands. I nod and get up. I follow him to the corner of the coffee shop. "What's wrong?" I ask him. He looks back at my sister and Draven. "Nothing, I'm just curious as to why he's with her. I mean, I know she doesn't give a shit about anything, but what about her life? Does she have a death wish?" I chuckle at him. "They were friends before all that happened. She trusts him, so none of us have a say in it," I tell him. He sighs, scratching the back of his beck. I step to walk back to our seats, but he grabs my arm, yanking me back. "Go out with me," he says. My eyes widen and I become tongue tied. "Like on a date. Tomorrow?" I open my mouth to say something, but can't find the words. Instead I just nod. He chuckles. "Okay then. I'll see you tomorrow night." We walk to the table and he grabs his things before leaving. "You two would make an adorable couple," Tori says as she sips her coffee. "I don't know," I say. The amount of happiness I feel right now is almost too much. "Your smiling like an idiot. What happened?" She asks me. "Nothing," I lie. Draven stands up and puts his phone in his pocket. Tori looks up at him with raised brows. "I have to go meet up with my lawyer. Come over later," he tells her as she leaves. ××××××××× LATER Draven's POV I close the door behind Tori and go over to the couch, sitting down next to her. "How'd it go?" She asks me. "Fine. He just wanted to tell me everything I have to say at my next hearing," I answer. She looks me in the eyes. "I'm sorry you have to go through this. I don't know what really happened, but you would have never killed Johnathan no matter what. You two were inseparable," she says. I scuff. "If only the rest of this town thought that," I say. She smiles. Before I can realize what's happening, her lips are on mine. Her strawberry ChapStick leaves a taste on my lips. I pull away from her, holding my hands out to keep her at distance. "Listen, I don't mean to come off as rude, but that can't happen again," I tell her. She looks down at her lap, her cheeks red with embarrassment. "Your my best friend, my only friend right now actually. Being with me isn't good for you." She laughs hatefully. "We've been friends since elementary school, why would it be had to just kiss and then and have sex?" My eyes widen. "Cause that's gonna throw everything off. You and I are such good friends, that's not something I'm looking to lose right now, or ever." She forces a smile at me. "Your right. I'm sorry."
