Cata's POV
I wake to the soft sound of whispers and a hand on my stomach. "I'm sorry daddy's been acting weird, you don't deserve it and neither does mommy and I'm taking my emotions out on her. She's more than what I deserve and I feel like I'm now close to loosing her.
Your mommy is the only girl I've ever been in love with and its a miracle we're married. I'm a dickhead for taking my anger out on her. Truth be told, I just don't want to face the fact that my dad left me. He left and didn't come back. I've changed my whole life to find his killer, but that was all a waist of my time. Mommy was right, to him I am just a weapon.
I'm talking to a small bump, what's wrong with me," he says. I smile down at him. "Just know I love you and your mom more than anything and I will never hurt you like this."
He presses his lips to my stomach and closes his eyes. "Raven," I say quietly. He shoots up and looks at me like when they're about to get in trouble.
"How long have you been awake?" He asks me. I cock my head to the side.
"Long enough to hear all of that." He lays back down, burying his head in the crook on my neck.
"I'm sorry," he says. I can tell he's trying from the feeling of his body shake and a tear fall on my shoulder. "You did the right thing and I'm just stupid. I wanted this to all be over."
"So let it be," I say as I hold him.
"I am. I called when I woke up and I'm having someone take my place." I smile and kiss his head. He props himself up on his elbows. "I love you and I don't blame you for any of this or what happened with the baby."
I cup the side of his face. "I shouldn't forgive you easily, but I do." He softly presses a kiss to my forehead.
"Have you ate?" I shake my head. He gets up and walks out to the kitchen. As much as I hate it, I get up. I really hope it stops hurting whenever I stand.
"I'm just gonna make dinner since its late," he says. I walk up behind him and press my lips to the back of his neck. He turns around with a grin.
"I'll make something real quick. I need to keep moving," I tell him. He nods and sits down in the stool, looking at me with loving eyes. I get our tortilla's and pepper jack cheese and a pan.
"You are a beautiful," he tells me. I smile shyly and take one of the tortilla's off the burner. Minutes go by and I'm done making them. The sight of food makes me feel sick. "Baby, you have to eat."
"I know," I say, forcing myself to take a bite. Soon we're done eating and getting ready for bed. Hopefully I'll sleep better than last night. Strong arms wrap around me from behind, hands placed on my stomach. "As much as I love being able to say I'm pregnant, I can't wait still he or she's out."
He turns me around so I'm facing him and chuckles. "You look tired. Lay down." I do as told and wait for him to come out of the bathroom. When he does he lays down next to me on his side.
I place my hand on his shoulder and kiss his bicep. Hardly ever do I study the tattoos going up his arms, but I can't help it right now. He turns his head so he's looking at me.
"Whatcha doing?" He asks as my hand trails down his chest slowly. I look innocently into his eyes. I kiss his neck, my cheeks heating up. I'm usually not the one that initiates this.
"Trying to seduce my husband," I say. He turns into his side.
"Your tired," he says. I look down. "You know I'm always up for making love to you, but I don't want you falling asleep. That would bruise my ego." I chuckle and rest my head on his shoulder.
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you."
