Extra Extra #5
Do you like hot and spicy food? Do you like the taste, but not the heat? Are you stupid enough to try hot things you know are way too hot for you?
Are you like me? Well, I have some advice for you!
Earlier today, I was having some Salsa... which clearly had the wrong label and was NOT medium... And my mouth started to burn! I love my salsa, but it was REALLY HOT.
I bet if you asked around, people would tell you to drink water, or perhaps milk. In my opinion, water is a terrible idea. I think water intensifies the heat. Just like drinking water after brushing your teeth.
I have 3 solutions for you my friend, from mild to intense.
Bread- This helps with heat because it absorbs the saliva that has the heat mixed into it. This is only if your tongue is a bit tingly.
Milk- Drinking thick, creamy milk also helps subduing pain. Not only is it cold, but the cream-like texture is soothing to the tongue. Recommended when it's really hot in your mouth.
Ketchup- letting ketchup sit and cover your tongue is by far the best way to go. When your mouth is scalding, and has opened the gates of hell out of your tongue. It's the sugars, added, and natural, that draws away from the pain.
Well, I downed 7 whole packets of ketchup today. THAT SALSA IS NOT MILD AS IT SAYS.
Keep Smiling!
