"Ladybug, wait!"

Ladybug turned to regard the woman who had called out to her. She was puzzled as to what was wanted of her. Reporters stopped her all the time -though she favored Alya and occasionally Nadja-, but this woman didn't appear to be one.

The woman clutched a small bundle to her chest and was weeping. Concerned, Ladybug swung down to her. "What's wrong?"

"Please," the woman sobbed. "I hate to bother you like this, but I really need your help." She shoved her bundle into Ladybug's arms, making the teen's eyes go wide as she realised what was wrapped in the sky blue blanket. "I need you to look after my daughter, please. My husband accidentally walked in on something he wasn't supposed to see, and the perpetrators threatened his family to keep him quiet. Claire is only two weeks old, she's so vulnerable! Until the people threatening her are caught, she needs to be with someone capable of protecting her, and I don't know where else to turn!"

Ladybug looked tenderly at the infant female in her arms, but tried to hand her back to her mother. "I'm sorry, I can't. Protecting people is in my job description, but I'm ill-equipped to care for a child. I'm afraid she wouldn't be safe with me."

The mother wailed, refusing the child back into her arms. "Please, I don't know where else to take her! We can cover your expenses, please just give her shelter!"

Ladybug sighed. "I am in no position to take a baby home with me!" Imagine explaining to her parents why some random woman had wanted to hand off her new born daughter to a high school girl.

"We can't just leave her M'Lady." Chat murmered in her ear. She had no idea when he had even joined her. "My family has a camping trailer just beyond the edge of the city, but no one ever goes there. I'm sure we could keep her safe there."

Ladybug was about to protest against keeping a baby in a camping trailer, but the mother exclaimed "Oh would you Chat? Bless your heart! Her father and I will be forever in your debt!"

Ladybug didn't have the heart to turn down the distraught mother once again, and now, with Chat's offer, the task still seemed daunting, but less so. Besides, she needed to get away quick, her transformation was about to wear out. "We'll do the best we can for her madam."

"Thank you!" Claire's mother cried. "Could you possibly come by our home in the evening and pick up her things?" She gave her address and then was gone.

Ladybug looked in wonder at the child in her arms, still not really fathoming what they had just agreed to. "I need to feed my kwami." She told Chat "You should feed yours too. Meet you there in thirty minutes."

"You mean Claire gets to be the first human to see you detransform?" Chat pouted playfully.

Ladybug rolled her eyes. "I don't think it makes much difference to her." She dropped off the building and out of sight.

The pickup went off without any complications, and soon Chat was leading Ladybug out into French countryside. Ladybug was making an effort to memorize the path, as she believed she may have to make the journey again without him.

Finally they got to a plain white trailer sheltered in a ravine. It looked like it had once been quite fancy (complete with a generator), but now was showing the signs of not having been kept up. Cobwebs tethered the wheels to their chocks, and a word that had been written on the side was peeling off. All Ladybug could make out of it was that it was seven letters long and the last one was 'e'. A/n - Can you tell me what the word was?

Chat pulled a key out of his pocket and handed it to Ladybug. "You're going to need this."

Ladybug stared at him in shock. "I can't accept that!"
