Crash!
"Chloe, Sabrina,"
Boom!
"Kim, Max,"
Pop!
"Alix, Rose, Juleka,"
Sizzle!
"Ivan, Mylene, Nathaniel,"
Snap!
"Nino, -"
A class of teenage students huddled in a storm shelter as their teacher called roll. Outside, the boom of thunder jolted them every time they were lulled into a calm. The room was dark except for the occasional lighting bolt spilling a bright ray through the narrow windows near the ceiling. Miss Bustier was near panicking when she couldn't find all her students. She was too young to be their mother - but she cared for them as though she were.
A frantic rapping came at the door, and someone let in a rain-splattered and wind-swept Alya.
"Alya!" scolded Miss Bustier, "I told you not to go out there!"
"I was fine!" Alya argued, "but my phone was acting like a lightning rod. I had to come in, or it could have been destroyed."
"You could have been destroyed!"
"Ladybug and Chat Noir are fighting the akuma out there. I'm missing the action!"
"You need to learn to prioritize your safety above that blog!" Miss Bustier checked the list to see who else she was missing. "Did you happen to see Adrien or Marinette out there?"
"Marinette's missing?" Alya asked after her friend. Had it been less dangerous out there, she would have been intrigued by the fact that her best friend's crush was also out there somewhere, and might have invented some romanticized scenario where the two might build a shelter together to wait out the storm. As it was though, she was too concerned with other matters to focus on Marinette's love life. She scanned the room, and sure enough there was no sign of her dark haired friend. "I hope she's all right!"

As the class listened and watched, the lapse of time between a flash of lightning and a thunder clap shortened. The storm was getting closer. Soon enough they could hear rain slapping the roof with ferocity. They could only hope that their two classmates that hadn't made it back had found shelter somewhere else. It didn't help anyone's nerves to know that an akuma was out roaming the city as well.
If rain was coming down in sheets, it produced reams of legal sized documents before it downgraded to standard. When at long last the rain slowed to where it was no longer audible, the class came out of hiding to find their missing companions slumped against the outer wall, absolutely soaked. Drenched.
Miss Bustier was concerned for the health of her pupils, and directed that the others help her drag them indoors and wrap them in towels from the supply closet. What were these two thinking, staying outdoors in what was probably the worst thunderstorm Paris had seen in either of their lifetimes?!
Several hours and sneezes later, the two secret heroes began to stir. Their classmates were well worried by that point, and were glad to see them come around.
"Did we win?" Adrien sat up. "M'Lady?"
"Dude, are you okay?" Nino asked him. "You scared all of us."
"Nino? Is she okay?"
"Marinette? She hasn't woken up yet, but she seems fine."
"What happened to Marinette, and where is Ladybug?"
"I don't know, dude, we found you and Marinette passed out outside. You had an arm over her like you were going to protect her."
"I did?" A blush crept onto Adrien's face at much the same pace the realization crept into his mind - he had passed out with an arm over Ladybug.
Nino observed as his friend's face grew steadily redder. He knew about Marinette's crush on Adrien, and based on the information in front of him, his best friend was also developing some affection for the girl - even if he might still be in a stage of denial.
