A/n - This takes place on the same timeline as Fanfiction, several decades in the future.
"Emma, Hugo, take a look at these." Two of the Agreste kids were at break with their school mates. Though in separate grades, Emma and Hugo were close enough in age to often socialize with the same people at school. On this particular day, they had agreed to join a group of friendly acquaintances searching through old social media profiles for fun. "Apparently this was popular when our parents were our age. Man, adults are weird!"
"What are they?"
"Celebrity fanfiction. There's one on XY. Eww, who comes up with this? Clara Nightingale and Jagged Stone? That's a weird combo. And here's one on Ladybug and Chat Noir."
"Really? Let me have a look!"
"You're into this stuff?"
"Well, the superhero ones, they're so bad it's funny!"
"Really? What makes these so much worse than the others?"
"I don't know enough about the singers to judge, but these descriptions of Ladybug and Chat are completely inaccurate! They would never say things like that!"
"How do you know so much about them?"
"Don't say too much," Hugo warned his sister.
"It's all right," Emma insisted. "There's no harm in telling them. Our parents were Ladybug and Chat Noir."
"Were? Emma... Hugo... I'm so sorry, I didn't know they were..."
"Oh, no! That's not what she meant! Our parents are just fine, they're just retired from being superheroes these days."
