"But you love me anyway."

"You got me there," Marinette sighed and ruffled Adrien's hair "you know I do."

Alya could not comprehend what she was seeing. It seemed like just yesterday Marinette couldn't speak a single coherent sentence to her crush, and now they were exchanging playful banter and alluding to being in love. Just now Alya saw her best friend scratch the boy behind the ear as though he were a cat, and Adrien seemed to quite enjoy it. What could have brought about such a drastic change?

"Marinette, we need to talk." Alya informed her best friend once it was just them.

"About what?"

"You and Adrien, spill."

"It's all I ever wanted." Marinette blushed.

"I know it is, and I approve, but I want to know how this happened so sudden. You couldn't even talk to him, and now you're petting him?!"

"Oh, uh," Marinette scraped her foot around nervously in the way she had several times when Alya called her out on slightly erratic behavior. "It's just, I learned he's such a dork! An adorable dork that I love more than ever, but I just can't be intimidated by him anymore!" With a happy smile, she went skipping back to the boy she was so enamoured with.

Alya shook her head. That was somewhat of an explanation, but she still couldn't imagine what Adrien had done to give Marinette that impression of him, and why did he so suddenly act as though he were in love with Marinette as well? There was some serious investigating to do.

A/n - If you didn't get it already, the sudden attitude change was when they found out each other's identities, but they can't explain that to Alya.
