Adrien lay in bed, staring up at his ceiling. Sleep was currently an elusive beast, scared away by thoughts of his lady. He knew he was crushing hard on her, but sometimes, it felt like there was something more to it than a crush was supposed to be. He wanted to know if magic could play a role in his feelings for her.

"Plagg?" He asked for his kwami. The ancient cheese fiend wasn't the best on love advice, but he was the only one Adrien could talk to.

"I'm trying to sleep!" Came the grumpy reply.

"Sorry, I was just wondering, what was the relationship like between previous sets of Ladybug and Chat Noir?"

"There's been a variety." Plagg yawned "Some revealed their identities, others didn't. What stands out for most of them is that they formed a really strong bond with each other. That's actually essential to surviving the job. In fact, you've already outlived the ones who didn't."

"You mean they had to give up their miraculouses? Or?"

"They died, Adrien. You've had some close calls yourself. If you and the current Ladybug hadn't learned to work together, you wouldn't be around anymore either."

Adrien gulped, this conversation was going deeper than he had bargained for. "And the successful ones? What tipe of relationship do they end up in?"

Plagg could sense what Adrien was probably thinking "Oh no, don't try to blame your emotional neediness on my magic. That's your own personality that causes you to do that. Though I do think the current guardian of the miraculouses fancies himself a matchmaker. You're the third set he's been in charge of appointing, and the last two ended up married with children."

"What about M'Lady and me? To you think we'll end up like that?"

"I'm the wrong one to ask kiddo, I've only ever held down a successful relationship with cheese. Speaking of whom." Plagg wandered off to find his beloved, leaving Adrien to worry himself to sleep.
