"No, Sabrina, this has gone far enough." Adrien heard raised voices from around the corner; aware that a conflict might give rise to an akuma, he decided to check it out. "First, I made that hat for you - no problem. Then, I got you that batch of cookies for Chloe's party. But you can't keep pushing me around; I'm putting my foot down."

"You don't have a choice, unless you want me to tell him..."

Adrien felt it necessary to intervene. This wasn't the typical verbal disagreement. He was witnessing the redhead committing blackmail! He noted sadly that his former best friend, Chloe, was probably the one who had trained her in such behavior. "What's going on here?"

Marinette startled when she saw who was there, but Sabrina wore a triumphant smirk. "Perfect timing. So, Marinette, do you agree to my little request? Or should I..."

"No! You know what? I'm going to tell him myself! Then you won't have anything left to use against me!" Marinette squeezed her eyes shut, her face growing a brilliant red before she blurted out, "Adrien, mybedroomwalliscoveredinpicturesofyou!"

Her shoulders sagged in relief once she got that out in the open. Her part was over; he could react as he would.

Sabrina actually started shaking a little. She didn't think Marinette had the guts to rat herself out to Adrien. She could see that it hadn't been easy for the aspiring designer, but Marinette was really that desperate to liberate herself from Sabrina's persuasive power.

Adrien shook his head at Sabrina. "So you somehow found this out and have been holding it over her head ever since?"

Both girls were surprised by the nonchalant stance Adrien took on the matter. "You... don't mind?" Marinette asked him.

Adrien shrugged. "Once those photos are released in the magazines, they aren't my concern anymore. Besides, I wouldn't expect anything less from you. I suspect you look at my father's designs for inspiration?"

"That's part of it..." Marinette admitted readily.

Sabrina wasn't pleased at how well this was going for Marinette, so she tried to turn the tables again. "We all know the real reason she has those pictures is -"

"When were you even in her room?" Adrien cut her off. "If this is about the time you got your hand stuck in her diary box, you're the one who was doing something she shouldn't, so I suggest you stop before digging yourself deeper."

"Don't let anyone bully you, you're stronger than that." Adrien patted Marinette's shoulder and walked away.

"You're lucky he's polite," Sabrina grumbled. "I know and he knows what you really want with those pictures."

Marinette teared up a bit. "Thank you."

"What?"

"Don't you see? I never wanted to keep my feelings secret from him. You gave me the courage to confess to him... well... that was practically a confession."

That's when Sabrina gave up. She didn't have anything personal against Marinette; she only picked on her to impress Chloe. However, picking on her might not be the best idea, because the seemingly scattered girl always came out on top. That girl had luck to compete with Ladybug's.
