The Choice

A: (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MAH BABY)

Bridgette wakes up to the stream and chirping of birds, her eyes opening slowly.

Alek's sword is on the ground, lying next to the helmet and a satchel.

Bridgette rushes over to it in fear. She gasps and picks up his satchel. "K-Kogan! Kogan wake up!!!"

Kogan opens his eyes slowly "Whaaaaaa..."
The satchel was unusually heavy.

"He left us!" She stands up, her eyes full of tears and her ears lowered. "He l-left his stuff and ran away! Probably to the stupid castle!" She looks inside the satchel confused.

A: (Wait... I thought he took his helmet...)

The satchel is full of gold.

L: (He did HEHEHEHE)

A: (AHHHHHHH ALEK BABY NOOOO)

Kogan smiles, his eyes closing. "It's okay Tobi, Alek is a smurf..."

Bridgette stares at it and shakes her head. She drops it and trembles. "N-No... no no no! No gold in ANY REALM can replace Alek! We have to find him!"

A: (AGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH)

"NO KOGAN ALEK IS GONE!"

Kogan sits up "WHAT?!"

"He l-left us!" She burst into tears and covers her eyes with her palms. "He took off l-last night!"

Kogan's eyes widen and he looks down before he smiles, hugging her. "It'll be okay! I'm sure we'll figure this out!"

"B-But he just took off! He didn't say anything he just left left us a-and he betrayed us! He said he wouldn't and h-he did he-" She sobs.

Kogan looks to the side thinking, "Maybe he didn't mean to..."

She shoves away "He left us gold!" She picks it up surprisingly easy "He went to the castle and accepted her proposal! This is a funny way of telling us!"

Kogan picks up the gold. "This was from the castle... how did he even get into the treasury?"

"R-Rose probably gave him the money or something! I don't know!"

Kogan looks confused. "Maybe... we should get him back... he wouldn't just leave us... right?"

Bridgette nods but looks spiteful, her eyes slit, "... Maybe not..." She clenches her fists and walks out of the hedge maze.

Kogan grabs the sword, following after her.

"We... We are going back right?"

She follows the stream out, and doesn't answer, walking straight to the castle.

Alek stood in the main hall, pacing back and forth in a white and silver suit. "If they come back for me... what do I say... They won't believe me if I say I chose it... but..."

Kogan follows close behind.

Alek frowns. "I can't say anything... I'm not letting my kingdom down..."

Bridgette sees him and stops. Her eyes are still slits and her ears are lowered, her face full of pure sadness.

Alek stops. "For Alcor."

Kogan grins. "ALEK!" He turns and his face drops. Kogan runs up and hugs him.

"K-Kogan what are you doing here?" Alek pushes him off, glancing back at Bridgette. "You guys shouldn't be here."
