GIA POV

That night I was in my room. The AC was blasting making it comfortable. The heat outside wasn't playing.

I couldn't believe he told me no after I told him the truth on why I need off Tuesday. Don't get me wrong my boss isn't a bad looking guy. But we would never mix well. When he first hired me he was like a big brother to me. Until one day that changed and now he's acting like he's my man.

My phone started ringing... I saw and odd number. Wasn't going to answer it but today hasn't been my day so why not.

"Yeah" I answered.

"Gia? It's me" the person said.

"Me who? And I'm not in the mood to play games" I warned.

"Delano... I wanted to apologize about earlier. But can we talk about you know" he asked. Regretting answering the phone.

"I guess... so talk".

"Well for one that baby inside of you... it's mine right?" He asked.

"Unless it's immaculate conception then obviously. You know I was a Virgin when we hooked up".

"Were you going to tell me?". What is with these questions.

"Honestly no. Listen Delano you don't want a baby by me. We will both drive you crazy. So to make our lives easier I'm just going to get rid of it".

"How about how I feel?". Oh no, here we go.

"And let me guess you want me to keep it hoping that we can be a family and everything will be peachy , right?".

"Somewhat. But can we just figure out things first before you abort this baby" he pleaded.

"Figure what out? Don't you have a girlfriend?. So I mean to solve our problem is to abort this baby and go on with our lives".

I heard him sigh. Guessing he wasn't getting his way this time. "Gia just do me a favor?. Just hold off on the abortion until we can talk face to face".

"You're asking a lot here. But fine".

"Okay well I'll see you at work tomorrow and afterwards we'll discuss this" he hung up the phone after that last sentence.

Dammit I should've just not showed up Tuesday and got this taken care of without him knowing. This is the reason I choose not to drink anymore.

The day at work I was dreading the talk I had to have with Delano about this. Looking over as I'm laying in the chair I see him and his girlfriend walking together. Rolling my eyes I kept my sunglasses on.

"Gia, are you on break? Because I can name countless things you could be doing right now".

"Oh my god, a girl can't rest for a minute" getting up and making my way away from them. Looking back I can see him staring at me.

Usually me and my coworker we have this hiding spot so just incase we don't want to work we hide there until our shift is up. I wasn't feeling too well so I went there to hide out.

"Yo the boss wants to see you immediately" my coworker yelled.

"He can't bother someone else?. Tell him I'll be there momentarily" why not get him all riled up. About 7 minutes later I strolled into his office. He was pissed to say the least.

"I asked for you a while ago and now you show up". I nodded "you called?".

He sighed and closed the door this time locking it. "So about this pregnancy... I don't feel right about you having an abortion".

"As you would..."

"I know we don't like each other but we can start to get to know one other better. At least we can be civil around this baby".

"Whoa... hold up here you go making plans. I never agreed with you about keeping it. So hold your horses".

"Why do you feel getting rid of this is the best solution?" He asked

"Simple... one I'm not ready. Two you have a girlfriend. And three we don't have the best relationship. This thing here happened because I was extremely intoxicated and we hooked up".

"I'm just saying I don't believe in abortion. I rather stick it out and have this baby. We can co-parent and things will be good". He's trying his best to sell me a story here.

"Umm no I can't afford a baby right now. With what I make here it's barely enough to take care of me nevermind a baby. I'm sorry Delano but I'm exiting this baby out this weekend. Plus, I'm too young for this stress".

DELANO POV

Watching Gia stand here in front of me I just eyed her from her hair to her long legs. Her chocolate skin was glowing from the sun. She was a beautiful girl. And I can't lie but I would love for us to hook up again.

"Hello" she waved her hand in front of my face "stop eyeing me like I'm a piece of meat you pervert".

"I was just thinking" I lied. Gia was the girl I wanted to be with but I knew I couldn't. It's no secret how I feel about her but she doesn't know that. Hence why I made it my mission to be her first.

"So we agree that this baby will be gone by Saturday?" She asked. I can tell she was getting upset because she was standing there with her hand on her hip.

"No I disagree and Gia we both know I always win" watching her roll her eyes. "Just keep it and we can figure out something. It's simple".

"For you maybe but not for me. I have to get back to work now" she turned around and started walking away.

"All of a sudden you want to actually work... and don't do anything stupid I have eyes on you" she mean mugged me and slammed my door closed.

She'll come around to keeping this baby.
