With some serious thinking and realizing I'll lose money from this deal but I couldn't continue to do business with Gia's dad. After what she went through yesterday I couldn't do it anymore. It was unnecessary to cause her pain.
She has no idea what I'm about to do but it's best she doesn't. I had Bria come over to keep her company while I go do this.
I called her dad and wanted him to meet me at a local restaurant. He agreed and set up a time. Getting there a little early I just sat there waiting for him.

About five minutes later I see a tall man in a suit walking towards me. "Delano how are you? He asked.
I nodded "I'm fine, how are you?".
He shrugged "can't complain. So what's up?".
"Well I was thinking and I came to the conclusion I have to pull out of the deal. I can't continue to work with you".
He seemed surprised "what do you mean?".
"No offense but I can't work with you and be with your daughter at the same time".
"Is she causing you trouble?!. She's always causing someone trouble" he said.
"No, she's not causing me anything. But whatever happened last night really took a toll on her. I don't know if you choose not to see it but your daughter is damaged. I'm trying to repair her little by little but then you guys come and do it again".
"Listen Gia is not damaged. She may not be right in the head but she's not damaged".
"Denial. I figured you would be in denial. Were you ever home when your wife was with Gia? I asked.
"No! I was working trying to make a comfortable life for my family!". He seemed as if I struck a nerve.
"Uh huh... I've been with Gia for the past six months and I can surely tell you she's a damaged girl. Did you know your daughter gets panic attacks?".
He didn't say anything.
"I didn't think you did". This man was either clueless or in some serious denial. "From now on I don't want neither you or your wife contacting her. When this baby is born don't call her. Don't visit her. Just leave her alone. Tell your wife her punching bag is no more. You should be ashamed on how your wife treated your daughter".
He sat there and didn't say anything else. I hope I got through to him. "Anyway I have to get back to Gia. Remember what I said".

GIA POV
"So wait... your mom had you meet her at a studio where they were taking pictures?. And didn't invite you? That's fucked up" Bria said.
I nodded "exactly... but I'm not surprised she did that".
"You always has to deal with that woman. Ever since I saw her just belittle you... I vowed to never go back to your house again. Then when you called me crying and you moved out and lived with me. It was crazy".
"Those were crazy days. But I found my own and moved out a year later. And now I'm here".
"I tell you if I could punch your mom in the face I would with no hesitation" Bria said.
"What's the point? She'll probably like it. She's crazy like that" I joked.
"I'm happy you have Delano here. After all the shit going on he hasn't run off. He's sticking by you. I'm telling you Gia remember when you used to ask me when it will be your turn to be happy? Well I think this is it. You have a man who loves you despite the situation and despite what you been though he's here".
She has a point. "Bria do you think I could do this being a mother thing?".
"I think so. I think because you didn't get the love you needed that it'll come naturally for you to love and protect your own".
"All she does is lay down. So I decided to join her" Bria joked.
"Gia I wanted to tell you I pulled out of the partnership with your dad". I shot up quickly "what? Why?... don't let my family issues cause you to lose money".
"Because I don't do business with shady people. After last night I saw his true colors. I don't want to be associated with that". Bria smiled "that was very noble of you to do".
"And I also told him that he's not allowed to call you and neither can your mom call you or see you. If all they're going to do is cause pain then they're not welcomed here".
I smiled "thank you". He smiled and walked into the back. Bria got up and grabbed her car keys. "He's a good man Gia. Keep him. Not many men would stick up for their girls the way he does. And take care of my god son!". She walked out the door and left me there to think what she said.
