GIA POV

Seeing Delano's face get red I had to just explain to him what truly happened. Didn't want his mind making up shit in his head. "I can explain! When Ryan and I went to the grocery store he was there. I didn't even know he was going to be there. He saw me before I saw him. Ryan is my witness. You can ask him"

Delano stood there with his arms folded "Why is he texting you?". That I really didn't know. "Beats me. But I didn't give him any idea that I was interested". And this was the honest truth too. He handed me my phone "if you say that's what happened.. I'll take your word for it".

Whew, Chile the stress! I smiled "thank you are we good though?". He nodded "of course. Now don't forget about tonight". Hold up? "And whose watching the kids?" I asked.

"You don't worry yourself about that. I have someone we both know and trust. But tonight is about us so don't want you worrying" he said. Who the hell is he speaking about? He walked past me and smiled "be ready for later".

DELANO POV

Feeling a bit nervous but I also knew this is what I wanted to do. Flipping the velvet box in one hand and pacing back and forth. Gia walked out smiling "how do I look?".

(Sza don't be getting all dolled up much)

"You look absolutely amazing" I said. She blushed and walked up to me. "Are you sure you're okay with Bria being here?".

"Yeah I'm okay with it. Plus, she's only here to watch the kids. I'm not okay with you two being around each other yet" I said. She nodded "okay". That's it? I thought she would've fought me on that.

Opening her door so she could get inside. "Thank you" she said. Smiling I closed her door when she was safely inside. Walking around to the passenger side door I got inside as well. "Where are we going?".

"Somewhere very quiet and nice" I said. She nodded and continued to look out the window. When we reached the destination she gasped "oh my god". The illuminating outside lights blares our view. I know that's one thing gia likes was lights outside. She got out the car with a huge smile on her face. Watching her just look around in amazement made me happy.

"Delano how did you?" She asked.

"Connections and I know what you like" I said walked next to her. "This is... wow!" She said.

"As long as your happy that's all that matters to me" I said. She turned to me with her eyes filled with tears "I'm sorry I'm about to get emotional". Smiling "it's okay it shows how happy you are".

"Just that I never had someone go out their way to do this. But you seem to amaze me every time" she said.

"That's shows you how much I truly love and care about you" I said. She smiled and hugged me "thank you". After that emotional out pour I pulled her chair out for her to sit down. A small band came to us and started playing our song. Gia looked at me "did you pay them to play the lady in my life".

Playing dumb "me? Nope they must know we like this song". She raised her brow "I bet". The night was turning out to be one of our best ones. Gia was more open tonight. Which was a little weird. But I'm actually enjoying the person she always was. That person that caught my eye.

"The food was so good" she said. I kept on staring at her. "What?" She asked. Getting up I walked up to her "I have to ask you something?". She didn't seem to catch on what was about to happen. Kneeling down she gasped "Delano!". Smiling "just hear me out... we been through two much and came out strong. I won't say this has been the easier relationship cause it hasn't. But this relationship taught me to fight for someone you love. Destiny brought us together when we were blessed with Ryan. Never do I ever regret anything we been through. I love you gia! And I want to take it to the next step. Will you marry me?" I asked. She had tears falling down her face with her hand covering her mouth. She quickly nodded. "Yes?".

"Yes!" She said. Putting that ring on her finger I got up and hugged her. "You just made me the happiest man on this planet". She was still in shock a little. Still wiping the fallen tears that wouldn't stop forming. "I'm speechless" she said. Smirking "well I can imagine you wasn't expecting all of this tonight. That's what the phone call was the other night".

"Really?! You played it well" she joked.

"Ryan is going to be so happy to hear his parents are going to get married and he's going to the ring boy" I said.

"We have to get him a small gift or something and then tell him. You know make him feel apart of this in a way" she said.

"That's a good idea. I'll definitely get him a toy tomorrow and we'll tell him the good news" I said. She smiled "the happiness I feel is over this world. Never did I think I would get married".

"Sometimes it's the things we never think would happen always happens when we least expect it. For example I didn't think we would be together but here we are" I said. She kept looking at the ring and still tears falling slower this time. "Whew! Wish these tears would stop falling!".

For the rest of the night we just enjoyed each other's company. It was nice to have a calm date night.
