Since you all wanted happiness from these two I will agree. And they may some grammatical errors but yeah I'm not fixing it lol. Jhene aiko's trip album has been on repeat all week.

DELANO POV

That night depending if gia said yes or not I rented out a hotel for us. But because she said yes that means we get a night to ourselves to just talk. I love my kids with everything but Gia and I still had some things to work on.

"Where are we going?" Gia asked still smiling from before.

"Well if you didn't say yes we would be going back home. But you said yes so we are going to a hotel I rented for the night". She glanced at me and back at out the window. For the first time I was happy. Feeling like a kid at a candy store.

We pulled up at the hotel. Gia looked a little hesitant. Wrapping my arm around her shoulder and bulking her into me. She smiled and continued to walk. When we got to the room she gasped "are you serious?". I smiled "I got the newlywed suite". She giggled "a jacuzzi in the middle of the room?!".

"Just us for the next twenty four hours" I said. Taking my shirt off and going to the bathroom. Gia was too busy just looking through the room. Splashing water on my face... I wanted to make sure this was all real. Gia came to the door "are you okay?". I nodded "better than ever". She came over and splashed me with water. Jumping back I extended my arm to splash her back. Which led to a splashing war between us. Grabbing her and pulling her into a kiss. This has to be the longest I've seen her smile and genuinely be happy.

"I miss this Gia! The one who's goofy and happy" I said.

"She's always been here. But you never gave me a chance to be happy. Instead you made everything so serious" she said.

"I think we both lost ourselves within each other" caressing her cheek. She put her hand on my hand and just closed her eyes. "Safety is the key thing I feel when I'm with you. I haven't felt that in years".

Putting my forehead along on hers. "I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I want you to always feel safe with me. I'll do anything to protect you and our children".

Kissing her again and this time the kiss was more passionate. Out of all the years we been together our intimacy wasn't the greatest. But right now I felt like we are connected on the same level. Picking her up letting her wrap her legs around my waist. I walked her to the bed and gently placing her onto the soft heart bed. Tonight I wanted to truly show Gia how much I appreciate her. Even though I don't tell her but I want her to also feel it.

(Okay I just can't write and intimate scene for them. I tried but my fingers are like nope!. Moving along. Don't hate me lol).

After we were done I had gia in my arms as she laid on my chest. She was tracing circles on my chest. "Can we be honest with each other?" She asked.

"Of course, what's up?" I asked.

"After we hooked up... I did have some feelings for you. That's why I was so closed off and mean to you. I didn't want to end up getting hurt. Knowing you had a girlfriend at the time" she said.

I wish I had something to say but I wanted to her to keep talking.

"But after you kept proving to me that you truly cared about me... I tried to find something negative so I wouldn't fall for you. Then you cheated... and that's when I felt like nothing could go right for me. I was so hurt and mad at you for that. You were my sideline cheer leader and then boom you do that".

Again I didn't say anything... just wanted her to get everything out.

"Last thing I wanted was to move out. But I was hurting and I wanted to somewhat hurt you. Things obviously back fired when my mom did what she did. Bringing me right back to you. You were always the one who cheered me on wanting to better myself".

When she noticed I wasn't responding she lifted her head up and looked at me "I'm listening".

"I just want to apologize on my behavior towards you. Even though you can be a little nutty sometimes. But in all you just wanted the best for me in a odd way" she stared at me .

"What?" I asked.

"Well say something!" She said.

"I appreciate that you opened up to me. Took you about four years... but that's okay. Do you know when you walked into my office for that interview with Bria... my heart skipped a beat. I knew from that day I wanted to be with you" I said.

"Really? Why?" She asked.

"Because you're beautiful and you weren't like the other female workers I had there. They were loud and being all over the place. You... you wasn't like that. You stayed to yourself. I knew you were different" I said.

She blushed "you're killing me with the compliments".

"And now we have two boys who look up to us for everything" I said. She nodded "can't wait to see them tomorrow".

"Me too" she laid her head back on my chest. "Love you". Kissing the top of her head "love you too". That night we just laid with each other talking some more. It feels like a first date trying to get to know one another.
