DELANO POV
I made it back to Nevada quickly as I could. Hoping I wouldn't go home to find anyone dead. When I pulled up all I saw were police lights. My stomach sunk a little hoping Gia was okay.
Running from my car and inside a cop stopped me "Excuse me, sir! You can't go in there!".
"I live here! This is my home!" I yelled.
Gia saw me and ran to me. She had some blood on her but she looked different. "Thank god you finally got here" she said. I hugged her tight "are you okay?".
She nodded "yeah I'm okay now... but I have to go down to the station tomorrow morning".
"For what?" I asked.
"For one she killed a woman outside your driveway and two we need her to make a statement on what happened" a cop said.
"You killed your mom?" I whispered.
"It was self defense! She tried to kill me" she said. Sighing I grabbed Gia and just held onto her "where's Ryan?".
"Bria is watching him in his room" she said. I nodded in relief I didn't want our son in the middle of all this mayhem. After the cops went through the house and asked us millions of questions they finally left. That had to be the longest night ever.

Once we got everything all settled Gia and I went to bed. Bria took over the guest bedroom and Ryan was back to sleep. Gia looked a little shaken up but she looked happy.
"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked. She nodded "I'm good... plus she had it coming anyway". Hugging her tight and not wanting to let her go. "Well we have to go down to the station in the morning. I'll let you go inside while I stay in the car". She didn't answer... I peeked at her and saw she was sleeping.
I let Gia go inside on her own. Since we had Ryan in the car I chose to stay here. Hopefully she'll be fine by herself.

GIA POV
"Hello Gia, please take a seat" the detective said.
"Why am I Here? I already told you it was self defense" I said. He placed a cup of water on the table and sat back down "so tell me everything".
"Are you serious?" I asked.
He nodded "so serious, go ahead". I rolled my eyes cause this was stupid. "Where should I start? Hmm... maybe how my mom abused me or how she came to my home in a completely different state to try and harm me?".
The detective cleared his throat "the second one".
"Well my mom and two other ex-friends of mine was stupid enough to post on social media that they was close to my home. I was tired of running. I was tired of being scared. So I took matters in my own hands and decided I would face this".
"Okay, so you met your mother outside? Correct?" He asked.
"Yup, she was parked until she saw me. She jumped out the car trying to attack me. This isn't the first time she tried to attack me. Go look at the report from Arizona".
The detective sighed "I'm sorry this happened to you. Especially with a baby in the home as well"
"Tell me about it. But thank you" I said.
"I'm a father I couldn't imagine trying to protect yourself and a baby too". I smiled "I refuse to have my son grow up the way I did".
He sat back in his chair "you do know your mother is dead".
"I know...do I feel bad?! No I don't" I said.
He nodded "well I guess we are done here". I got up but I had one more question "what's going to happen to Lee and Mia?".
"Well it depends if you press charges and if you do then they'll go away for maybe two or three years" he said.
"Of course I want to press charges! Where do I sign?! Put those punk ass bitches in jail!" The detective smiled "let bring you the paperwork" he walked out the room leaving me there. I would've pressed charges a long time ago if someone had said something to me about it. He came in and handed me the papers and I wasted no time filling them out. Once I was done I handed it back to him. "You are all done here". I smiled "great".
Walking out the precinct with a smile on my face.
For the first time I felt the weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was allowed to smile again. "How did everything go?"'Delano asked."Everything... went good. I pressed charges on lee and Mia for their part in this plan". Delano smiled "I do have to say since this happened you look more at peace".
"I feel at peace with myself. Somewhat feel like I can be myself again" I said. He smiled and rubbed the back of my neck "I missed that Gia who was always smiling".
"Well she's back now" I joked. We shared a laugh and intertwined our hands together as he reversed the car and started driving back to our home. I didn't realize the reason I was so angry was because I felt that I was being held down by my mother this whole time.
Now I have my son, the man that tries everything to make me happy, my sister and best friend and my real dad. Along with sha-sha... this is the one time I couldn't complain.
