GIA POV

"Is it necessary that I go to Nevada alone?" I asked Delano cause I wasn't feeling being in a completely different state on my own.

"You won't be alone. I'll be there but just in two days. I rather you go there now and get away from people". I'm not to sure about this idea.

"Umm... I don't know" I said.

"Gia you trust me right?" He asked. Looking at him I could tell his eyes were pleading with me to agree with him."Yeah I trust you".

"Then you'll go. You can keep busy with Ryan and decorate the new house" he said.

Nodding "okay I'll go. When do I leave?". He turned to me "later on today. So say bye to whomever you need to say bye to". He walked away leaving me there to fight with myself if I really felt comfortable going to Nevada on my own.

Bria came over hearing that I was officially leaving today. "Why do you have to leave so quick?". Shrugging "I have no idea! But he's insisting I go later on today".

"That sucks man! We just found out we are blood sisters and he's taking you away from me" Bria frowned.

"It's not like you can't come visit. You aren't that far away you know" I said.

"True... plus I never been to there before. You'll have to show me around" she smiled.

"Of course. I'm going to miss you! Now you're only a phone call away instead of being houses away" feeling emotional. She hugged me "don't cry cause you'll make me cry and my makeup will run".

"I can't help it! You're my only friend and now I'm going somewhere where I don't know anyone" I said.

"Look at me! You'll be fine. As soon as you get there you FaceTime me and show me what the house looks like and if you feel alone just call me" Bria said. We stayed hugged for a little bit. I didn't want to let her go but I know I had to. Delano came in "you girls want to let go already". Bria pouted "this is your fault taking her away from me".

"You can always come and visit" Delano said.

"See I told you. You aren't that far" I said. Bria shrugged "well let me leave you to get going. Remember to call me when you get there. Where's Ryan I need to give him a big kiss!". Handing her Ryan she planted a wet kiss on his chubby cheek. "I'm going to miss you too" he smiled. She handed him back to me "bye". Delano rubbed my shoulders "you'll be okay". Getting inside the car we started the journey to Nevada. Not very different from Arizona.

The next ten hours were flying by. We pulled up to the house and I was in awe. It was much bigger than the one we had in Arizona. Walking inside the home you smelt the new smell. "This house is so big!". Delano smiled "I know I figured you would like it".

"I do". Looking around with Ryan in my arms sleeping. Peeping through the windows I notice we had a huge backyard as well. "I did this for you and Ryan. I want you both to be happy here".

Smiling just looking at this new adjustment I had to deal with. "I am happy".

DELANO POV

After convincing Gia to go ahead to Nevada so I can handle this ridiculous court case. She has no idea her mother even filed for custody. I didn't want to bring in any unnecessary stress to her. Figured I would fight this battle myself.

Returning to Arizona that same night after Gia got settled and was alright to be alone. The case was tomorrow morning at eight. Shaking my head at her stupidness. She has no evidence of these allegations of abuse.

The next morning I arrived to the court ready to fight. I was a little early. But I sat down and waited for the judge to call our case into the courtroom. About ten minutes later a woman came out calling me into a courtroom. "Please stand here. We are waiting for her to arrive". I nodded and got all my paperwork situated. Patiently standing there waiting for Gia's mom to show up. Looking at my watch a good fifteen minutes passed by and she hasn't shown up yet.

The judge looked pissed that her time was wasted. "Any word on where she is?" The judge asked around. "Nothing yet" another woman responded. "Well since she can't be here this case is dropped. I'm sorry for wasting anyone's time" she slammed the gravel and got up and walked into the back. Well that was easy. Smiling because this was now over.

Exiting the court room I got a call from Bria. "Hello?".

"Delano? Did you hear?" She said frantically.

"No, what?" Thinking something happened to gia.

"Gia's mom just had an heart attack. She was on her way to the court and she suddenly had a massive heart attack. She ended up crashing her car in a pile up" everything Bria was saying wasn't making sense in my brain.

"Wait? Are you serious?" I asked rubbing my hand through my hair. "I'm dead serious. I just called Gia thinking she heard. But she didn't even know".

"Dammit! Okay do you know where she is?" I asked.

"Umm I believe they took her to HonorHealth hospital" Bria said.

"Alright thanks Bria" I see Gia was calling me I switched over the call "Hey".

"I need to come back now!" She said.

"Gia Listen relax okay. Let's see what's going on with your mom first before you come back" I said.

"Delano... this woman has caused me pain and trauma but at the end of the day she's my mother. And I want to go see her".

Sighing loudly "I'll book you a flight for you to come to Arizona in a few hours okay". She nodded "okay" I can tell she was worried. It's amazing the same person who was the meanest to you and treated you like shit you still have some type of care of the person. That's who gia was.

Going on my phone to book Gia a flight to come into Arizona in the next two hours. I sent her the info so she knew she had to pack and get going. "Damn this has to happen today".

Bria called me "What's up?".

"Tell Gia when she comes in her mom isn't in good shape so she needs to get here fast" Bria said.

"I just booked her a red eye flight to get here in the next two hours".

"Hopefully she's still alive in the next two hours" Bria said.

"If this is the same woman who fought her way to mistreat Gia all her life. She'll pull through trust me when I say that".

"I'll meet you guys here okay. My dad wants to go see her as well".

"Okay... I'll see you there" hanging up the phone. I stood there in disbelief that karma came in and took over everything.
