GIA POV

Bria and I went to the mall just to hang out with one another before I leave for good. I'll miss these hangouts when I leave. Ryan was with us as well. Figuring it'll be good for him to be out of the house and hang with us females for the day. Plus, Delano had to finish up some last minute things himself.

"I'm so sorry about your mom, even though she was a total bitch! But it's a death" Bria said.

"Crazy How karma came in and took her ass out. And I feel weird cause we didn't leave on a good note" I said.

Bria laughed "even though it's not funny but karma came in and did take her out though".

"But the craziest thing... they wouldn't let me see her body. They just told me when I got there what happened to her" I said. Bria turned to me "are you serious?".

"Yeah dead serious. I thought that was weird. Don't they're usually show you the body so you can be sure it's the person they're claiming it to be?".

Bria nodded "yeah they're suppose to do that. Gia I'm not trying to scare you by any means. But your mom is crazy. What if when you guys fought that night she faked her death so she can come after you?".

"That's sounds a little far fetched. You think she's going to find out where I'll be in Nevada?" I asked.

"Shit, with this woman anything is damn near possible. Especially since the hospital didn't let you see proof she was dead. Nah, that's fishy".

Maybe Bria was right. I don't even know if anyone started making arrangements for her funeral. Usually they bury the person right after because it cost money to have the body at the morgue. We went to the food court cause we were both hungry. All this walking and no food to give us energy to shop.

"I'm so down for Chinese right now" I said. Bria nodded "yes, let's go over there". We walked over to the Chinese spot. Waiting on line I peak to see Ryan was out cold. Bria tapped my shoulder "great don't look now but lee is walking over here".

"What up strangers?" He said. We both ignored his presence as he stood there. "What? Y'all can't talk to me now?".

"Why even approach us?" Bria asked.

"Damn Bri you act like we ain't friends" he said.

"That's exactly what I'm saying. So if you could do us a favor and walk away". Lee sucked his teeth "anyway since Bri wants to act all boujie. Gia I heard about ya moms. Sorry about her death".

I turned to him "How the hell did you hear about it?".

"Whatchu mean? Everyone knows about it" he said. Looking at Bria cause I'm confused now. Lee looked inside the stroller "he's cute". I smile "thanks".

"Still can't believe you have a baby now. That's crazy" he said. Bria pushed me up so we could get our food and disappear. Lee noticed "well I'm out" he walked away. Bria rolled her eyes "he's so annoying now. Ever since Mia and him got together it's been weird".

When I got home Delano was on the couch just watching tv. "Hey How was your hang out with Bria?" he asked.

"It was cool. We even ran into lee there which was weird" I said. Delano just stared at me so I could finish what I was trying to say. "Relax it's not that serious. But he did say he heard about my moms death".

"Really? She just died how did he hear about it already?" He asked.

"That's what I'm saying. Doesn't make sense. And on top of that I was telling Bria about how the hoist pal wouldn't let me see her body. She thought that was very weird".

"I told you something isn't right with that" he said.

"You don't think she's trying to come after me... do you?" I asked.

Delano released a deep sigh "I hope not. Just when you think things will finally be normal... this happens".

Now I was getting scared. What if this crazy woman escaped the hospital and faked her death just so she could come after me?. We all know she has mental problems too. And how come no one has made any funeral arrangements yet?. So many unanswered questions.

"Maybe you should call your dad and see if maybe they told him anything. Or maybe he viewed the body" Delano suggested.

"Maybe your right. I'll give him a call tomorrow" I said.  He motioned me to come sit down next to him. Pulling me closer to him I laid my head on his chest. "You seem jumpy".

"I am a little jumpy. I just think what if this psychotic woman tries to kill me. She's crazy enough.   I don't want to have Ryan grow up without me".

"You're thinking way too much into this. And I would never have anyone come for you. They'll have to come through me first to get to you. I will always protect my family".

Smiling "I think maybe we should go to Nevada a little sooner Just Incase she isn't dead and is plotting something".

"If that's what you want we'll do that. Anything to keep you guys safe from this nutty bitch". Once I get to Nevada I'll call my dad and see what he knows. I rather do everything from afar so at least I know I'm safe.
