DELANO POV
Sitting in the waiting room just patiently waiting for someone to come out here and let me know what's going on. Bria is here as well just waiting along with me. Hopefully everything turns out well and she can go home tomorrow.
About five minutes later a man came from out the double doors "are you here for Gia?".
I nodded "yes, how is she?".
"She's good. They just wheeled her into recovery. She's still under anesthesia. So don't get upset if she doesn't respond well" he said.
"Thanks, can we see her?" I asked.
"Of course follow me" the man said. We both got up and followed him to the recovery room. She was laid out just still. The nurse was checking all the vitals and machines. Once she was done she left. Bria smiled "hey". She moaned a little. "At least she's alert".
Walking up to her I gently pushed her hair back "I'm happy you're okay". She moaned loudly this time moving from my touch. "No!" She said. Looking at Bria she shrugged. "Gia? Are you okay?" I asked.
"Don't touch me! If you didn't try and control everything I did... I wouldn't be here" she said.
"For someone under anesthesia she's very vocal" Bria said.
"I made you do this so you wouldn't technically die. Your appendix would've exploded and then that's it" I said.
"Get away from me!" She yelled. Bria stood up trying to calm her down "it's probably the medicine".
"You're just like my mom! Always trying to control me" she yelled. The nurse came in hearing the commotion. "No offense but can you leave. You're making her upset and she needs rest".
Nodding I walked out. Bria came running after me "Listen don't take what she said to seriously. She's under medicine at the moment".
"I don't think so. It sounds to me that's how Gia feels" I said.
"You two need some serious therapy" Bria suggested.
"I tried that and that didn't work so well" I said.
"Instead of using a computer. Go see a real person who can help you both out. Gia is still dealing with some things that she may not express. It'll be good to talk to someone". Maybe she was right. We definitely needed some type of counseling. Who knew a relationship would be this hard.

A few day later Gia came home. She doesn't remember anything that she said. Figured that anyway. But she was little distant. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded "feeling a lot better".
"Umm... I wanted to talk to you about something" I said taking a seat next to her. "Okay?".
"Even though you don't remember anything that you said to me when you came out of surgery. But I felt like what you said was the way you truly felt" I said.
"Are we still on this? I was under heavy medicine" she said.
"The medicine wasn't that heavy. And what you said says different. But I made an appointment for us to go see someone". She raised her brow "again with the therapy?".
"Yes and this time we are going together. We need some type of help. And you also need help as well. For you to still bring your mom... tells me you're still dealing with that" I said.
"Who needs a therapist when you can be one?" She joked.
"Being serious. I think we can benefit from this. I want us to be the way we once were before Ryan was born" I said.
"Because you won't leave this alone I'll do it" she said.
"Good, we go tomorrow. I have my sister coming to watch Ryan".
"And bria couldn't watch him?" She asked.
"You know... I didn't want to say anything about this but I think in a way Bria is part of the problem. Watching her encourage your behavior instead of pointing it out so you don't act up. So for now I don't want her around you until she can not baby you".
"Excuse me? She's family the only family I have here" she said.
"I understand but it's not healthy that she allows you to behave the way you do. If she was someone who cared about you she would put you in your place".
"Here you go trying to control again. Why don't you just lock me in the room so I don't socialize with anyone. Apparently that's what you want".
"I'm not being controlling at all. Just trying to fix us the right way. And with someone enabling you it won't work".
"Of course you don't see yourself controlling the situation. It's always something else. But in reality you're controlling everything that has to do with me. It's like I left one bad situation and ended up in another".
"See this is why we need help" I said.
"No maybe you need help. There's a reason why you feel the need to control. Who knows maybe you stem off your crazy ass mother" she said.
"Are you done?" I asked.
She got up and slowly walked away from me. "See what you're doing now isn't going to help".
"Leave me alone!" She yelled. Rubbing my hand over my face in frustration. I hope this therapy session can break through to her. Trying to keep Bria away only to benefit her and she's not seeing that.
