GIA POV
Standing in front of Bria's dad home. I was nervous as hell. The sweat that was perspiring from my armpits was crazy. Shaking my leg up and down trying to rationalize what I was about to do.
"Gia you'll be fine. You just go in there and explain what's going on" Delano said.
"Easier said than done. What if he doesn't want to claim me as his?" I said.
"He won't do that. Trust me. Now get out and go do this" Delano said. Taking a big deep breath I opened the car door and got out. Looking at the house I could've grown up in if my mom had let him know I existed.
Slowly making my way up the three stairs to the door. My emotions were coming into play. Turning to look at the car behind me. Delano smiled and motioned me to keep walking. I pressed the doorbell. My hands were clammy as hell.
Bria opened the door "Gia why did you ring the doorbell. You know you can just walk right in". I didn't know Bria was going to be here.
Nervously giggling "oh yeah I forgot". She moved to the side so I could walk inside. "Is anyone here?". She nodded "yeah my dad is home, why?".
"Can I speak to him?" I asked. She raised her brow "why do you want to speak to him? Is something wrong?".
I didn't want to lie to Bria at this crucial moment. "Bria listen... I think I need to tell you something. We are half sisters".
Bria didn't react right away. She laughed "of course we're sisters". She didn't get it.
"No I mean we share the same dna. Well half of it anyway". She looked at me "so you're saying we are blood sisters? How?".
"Your dad... he knew my mom before he met your mother. Remember when he said my mom just stopped talking to him out of nowhere?. Well that's because she was pregnant with me".
Bria covered her mouth "no!. Are you serious? We could've been sisters and shit and your mom fucked that up. Now I'm pissed".
That made me smile for a bit "you're crazy. But I wanted to explain to your dad about the child he never knew he had".
Bria hugged me "sister! Can't believe we been best friends for more than eleven years and we are blood sisters".
Tears filled my eyes "I know right". Bria smiled "my dad is in his den. I'll give you two some alone time". I nodded "thanks" rubbing my hands together from it being sweaty. I walked the long hallways. The nervousness was getting the best of me. I reached his den to see him reading a book.
Clearing my throat. He looked over at me and smiled "Gia! How are you?".
I smiled "Umm good I guess". He put the book down and motioned me to come into the den. Slowly walking in I just took notice to how big his den was. "So Gia What brings you by today?" He asked.
"I need to talk to you..." he looked a little confused "okay..."
"Umm how I don't know how to say this.." I started rubbing my hands together.
"Just spit it out gia" he playfully said.
"I'm your daughter". I looked down not wanting to see any sign of rejection. It was quiet... all you heard was the birds outside. "You didn't think I knew that?". I shot my head up "Excuse me?!".
"Gia I knew your mom was hiding a pregnancy from me. I tried calling her numerous times but she refused to talk to me" he said.
"Hold the fuck up... you knew and didn't try and take me from her!!" Now he got me fucked up.
"Gia it wasn't that easy. At the time your mom had power over me. I even threatened to take her to court to scare her but she didn't budge".
When he said that memories came back when Delano tried get me back by threatening to get full custody of Ryan. But it's not about Delano right know. Focus.
Holding my head because all this information was making me dizzy. "Gia are you okay? Here sit down".
Sitting in this chair I had to put my head back. "I tried numerous times to confront your mother but she always called the cops on me".
That bitch!
"I can't be mad at you. Because I know the type of person she still is".
He smiled "thank you. Your father knew I knew as well. He tried to be the peacemaker but your mother wasn't hearing it".
"My dad knew cause he forgot to mention that part when we spoke". Lord all of this information was too much for me.
"And as of right now. I want to accept you into this family" he pulled me to stand up and hugged me. "I never thought of you as nothing else but my daughter. I was so happy Bria and you met each other and became friends. I wanted nothing more but to watch over you".
Tears starting falling. Nothing more I wanted than to being accepted but damn.. he knew about me this whole entire time and didn't say anything.
After our meeting I walked out of that house and back into the car with Delano. "So?".
"He knew about me. But my mom made it rough for him to be apart of my life" I said.
"Wow! Really?!. Your mother is something else" he said.
"Is it a crime for me to just whoop her ass?" I asked.
"Gia you're not stepping down to her level" Delano said.
But little does he know I have something for her. For all the shit she put me through and then finding out she kept me away from my real father. She has to pay.
