Gia POV

Six months pregnant and I feel huge. I even had to remove my belly ring. Which was weird for me. Bria was coming over today so we can spend some time together.

Delano didn't bother me about not wanting to out with him today. That was weird. He seemed a little distracted though.

"Your man was acting weird" Bria said.

"I know right, strange" we both shrugged and went out the door. "So where are we going?" I asked.

"Beats me, what do you want to do?" She asked me.

"Umm food is always a plus. So let's go get something to eat and then figure it out from there" she nodded and pulled off.

"So what's been going on? Other than that belly that's getting so big" she placed her hand on my stomach.

"Well my mom came by and it didn't end well". She turned to me "does it ever end well?".

"True. She came to just bash Delano. I'm like no that's my job. You can't bash him only me" I joked.

"So I guess Delano witnessed why you are the way you are..."

"You mean a fucked up human being?" I asked.

She nodded "exactly".

"Then yes, which is sad but it's the truth" we both laughed at that. The crazy thing is how Bria and I are friends. She comes from a good family and well my family just hates me. We been friends since fourth grade. We had each other's back from ever since. Then we found it funny how our names rhyme.

"It's not sad. But your mom messed you up mentally. I've seen what she did first hand". Bria used to come over my house back in the day. Until she witnessed my mom emotionally abusing me. She never came back after that. We just made sure I would come over to her house instead.

"Oh and we went baby shopping the other day and the worker decided to racial profile me. Telling me I couldn't pay for the stroller I wanted. And that it was people like myself that stops people from purchasing things".

"Wait? What bitch do I have to beat up? Is this the babies r us on riverdale?" She asked.

I nodded "yup and never mind I'm pregnant so my emotions are all over the place. So I stormed out of there and didn't even bother to buy anything. Delano knew something was wrong with me. But telling him he wouldn't understand".

"Doesn't matter. He's your man and your babies father. Let him handle that. Or I will and I'm not going to jail".

"Excuse me? He's not my man. Let's not say shit that's not true".

"Bitch listen he's your man. You need to wake up already!. Delano and Gia sitting in a tree K I S S I N G. first comes love then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in a — well you just went straight to the last part". Playfully smacking her and laughing.

"I hate you!".

"It's true. Just straight to the point. But I'm happy you're smiling".

"Thank you". We just continued to laugh the whole day through.

After we were done I was starting to get tired. Yawning non stop. "Damn Gia you are making me yawn".

"Sorry I'm just tired. Well the baby is tired. And all that food made me tired too".

We walked up to the front door. Looking for my keys in my purse which was taking longer than usual.

"No lie Gia if we were getting chased down by a robber he would've caught us already. Waiting on you to open the door".

"Oh shush up. I found them" jiggling the Keys in her face. The door opened and all I saw was the stroller I originally wanted. "Damn Gia that stroller is so nice".

"Oh my gawd! He got me the stroller even though I told him he didn't have to".

"Aww, how sweet and look at the bow?!" Bria starting playing with the big bow.

"Surprise!" Delano came of from the back. "You got me the stroller?".

He nodded "I know you really wanted it and that woman made you not want it".

"I hope you put that bitch in her place, Delano" Bria said.

"Sure did. I don't think she'll ever in her life judge anyone" he smiled.

Tears was filling my eyes from the excitement of this stroller and for the fact he stood up for me. I never had someone other than Bria who had my back. "Aww is Gia going to cry? Damn hormones".

"Shut up! I'm just happy" I lied.

"Delano you did good. I'm proud!" Bria said.

"Thank you. Anything for Gia. You deserve it" he walked up to me and hugged me. "Thank you".

"And if at anytime someone makes you feel the way that woman made you feel... let me know. I'm not afraid to handle things. Especially if you can't handle it due to being pregnant".

I nodded "okay".

Bria stood there with a stupid expression on her face. I knew she was about to say something stupid. "Aww you guys are making me feel all warm inside".

"Bria go home..." I joked.

"I'm going, but good job Delano. Keep up the good work before you know it Gia will be putty in your hands".

Rolling my eyes at Bria's comment "but thank you again. This means a lot".

"No problem! But I don't want you to not go shopping for the baby. I want you to experience what all other pregnant woman experience".

Smiling at him "I guess I'll go".

He smiled and hugged me again "good, now where will we put this stroller?". I definitely saw Delano in a different light tonight.
