DELANO POV

I was in disbelief that Gia's mother was on the floor between broken pieces of the shattered vase. "Gia? What the hell is going on here?". She looked at me and shrugged "she came looking for an ass whooping?!". Picking up the food and placing on the table. My house was in disarray, checking on Ryan who was sound asleep.

"Is she dead?" I asked pacing around. Gia knelt down "no she's breathing. Can we call the cops though?".

"That wouldn't be a good idea. She's on the floor and you were the only on here. They'll arrest you instantly" I said.

"For what? I didn't technically put my hands on her. She is on the floor because she charged at me and I moved". Gia has no emotion at all.

"Doesn't matter. She's on the floor. It's her words against yours. This isn't good at all". Running my hands through my hair. Gia looked at me "but she trespassed though and I felt threatened so I pounced on her". Side eyeing Gia quickly so shrugged "I'm just saying I'm calling the cops. She's an intruder".

I was going to stop her but what the hell let her do it. Standing against the small cabinet. Just watching gia on the phone with the police. "They're coming right away". I nod "hopefully this doesn't get ugly". Gia looked at her mom on the floor "she's milking this. Trust me when the cops get here she'll get up".

About fifteen minutes later the cops walked in. They both looked at the woman on the floor and back at us. "What happened here?". Gia opened her mouth "she's an intruder who came to attack me. Never mind I have a baby in the room sleeping. So I felt threatened and slapped her but she did that to herself".

The cops looked at each other and back at me. "It's true. She came in to attack out baby. And Gia did what she could do to protect him". Just then Ryan started crying. Gia excused herself and walked in to get Ryan from the room. She came back holding him. "That's our son" I said.

"Is she breathing?" The woman cop asked. Gia nodded "yeah she's alive. I don't know why she just threw herself head first into the vase. She's crazy".

The male cop was busy writing down our statements on what happened. They called for an ambulance but still placed handcuffs on Gia's mothers arms. That woke her up. She got up a little dazed but once she saw Gia she yelled "YOU BITCH! IM NOT DONE WITH YOU YET! YOU DON'T DESERVE NOTHING GOOD TO HAPPEN TO YOU!". She tried to get out of the male cops grasp. I stood infront of Gia just Incase she gets loose. "Take her out of here!" I said. The cops nodded "if anything comes up we'll be sure to call you".

Walking them out the door "thanks. And make sure she stays away from here. Or next time she won't be so lucky to be breathing". Closing the door I sighed "look at this mess". Gia put Ryan in his playpen and came up to me "I'll clean it don't worry". She went to the kitchen and grabbed a broom and the dust pan.

After she was done she stood up. I pulled her to me "are you okay? She didn't hurt you right?" Checking her over to make sure there's no marks. "No she didn't get a chance to touch me. Once I saw she was going for Ryan. Mama bear was in full effect". I smiled "I need to see this mama bear". She smirked "I think you see sexy bear all the time".

Looking at Ryan who was too busy playing with his toys. I turned back to Gia "I mean you could show me again, just to refresh my memory". She titled her head "you would like that?". I nodded "I would". She leaned in "but I'm hungry and I feel disgusting. So I will have to give you a rain check" she patted my chest and smiled. She walked around me to get her food that I brought back.

While I was at work. I do have to say I miss gia working here even though she never really worked. But just her presence here I miss. An email alert popped up.

Opening up the email...

To whom it may concern:

This is in regard to Gia Williams. An anonymous petition was brought to us regarding Ryan. Child protective services has been aware of an complaint made by an anonymous source. Stating allegations of abuse of the hands of his mother. A court date is set for July Sixteenth at eight. If you want to appeal this case please come down to the court house and file for an appeal. Make sure you have evidence on why you're appealing this case.

I slammed my fist on the keyboard. This can't be happening. And I know it's her mother being a spiteful bitch. She won't win this. She doesn't know who she's actually messing with. Let's go to court. And when she loses I want to take a picture of her face.

Nevada I think we are coming sooner than I thought. Maybe as soon as the end of the week. It'll be best for Gia to be away from all of this until the court date.
