GIA POV

Finally arriving in Arizona. I was thinking so much during this flight. I know most of you would think I'm crazy to be caring so much about this woman who caused me pain. But she's the only mother I have and I would never wish death on anyone.

Delano was here to pick me up. The ride to the hospital was silent. There wasn't much to discuss and plus I think Delano understood where I was coming from.

When he pulled up to the hospital I immediately got out. Ryan and all just trying to get some type of update on her condition. My father was there sitting down looking worried. "Hey".

He looked up "Gia? Hey baby girl" we hugged each other. "Hi Ryan!" He pinched his cheek.

"What happened? Any update?" I asked.

"Nope nothing yet. Doctors says it doesn't look good" he said.

"She'll pull through" Delano said.

"Hopefully" my dad said. We all sat there just waiting on some type of news or that we can go see her. My brother walked through the door with one of his friends. Rude why would you bring your friend with you to a hospital?.

"Hey dad, Gia" he lifted his head quickly.

"Big bead? Who's this?" I asked. He looked next to him "oh him he's just a friend". His friend side eyed him when he said that. Raising my brow something wasn't right here. But due to what our current situation is I didn't dig in any further.

"I'm going to go get something to eat" my brother said. His friend sat next to me and let him go alone. You know what I'm curious. I'm going to ask him three questions and that's it.

"So your my brother's friend? I've never met you before?" I said.

"Yeah he's great" he said. Eyeing him his eyebrows was on fleek. And seeing he does moisturize his skin. He looks better than me. "So how do you feel about Beyoncé?". His eyes lit up "Beyoncé is queen! Love her" he started doing the dance to single ladies. Yup, I knew it!. He's gay!.

My brother came back "You guys want some?" Shaking my head "so I didn't know you was gay?!". His mouth dropped open and Delano covered his face. "What? I'm not gay!".

"You are. And it makes sense now. Does mom even know?"I asked.

Bria walked in all frantic with our dad. "Gia oh my god I'm so sorry" she hugged me tight.

"They haven't updated us yet. So I don't know what's going on back there" I said. Our father came over and hugged me "I'm so sorry gia! When I heard I immediately wanted to come here and see what was going on".

"Thank you" I said.

"How are you though?" He asked.

"So far so good just worried about this woman" I said.

He nodded "we all are". He pulled me into a hug again. This is something growing up I never experienced. Affection is something we didn't do in my home for some reason.

Bria looked past me "tony? What are you doing here?" Turning around I see she's talking to my brothers lover.

"Oh I'm here with aha-sha! I didn't know you knew them" he said.

"Yeah and oh wait Rashad and you?" She said wide eyed. He nodded "I don't get why everyone is surprised. Isn't it obvious Rashad was gay?".

"Wow! And your mom doesn't even know. Lord you guys are going to end up killing her" Bria said.

"Well at least it's not me this time. All my surprised are all out in the open" I smiled.

The doctor came out and alerted us we can go see her cause she was awake. We all went in there slowly packing the room. She seemed under medication so she was a little sedated.

My father went to her first "honey? It's me! I was so scared!" She smiled "hey honey! I'm fine. Just a heart attack. I wasn't going to let that bring me down".

Delano nudged me "told you. She's like the terminator".

She looked over at me "Gia? Is that you?" I nodded "yeah it's me". Holding Ryan in my arms just trying to comfort him so he doesn't start crying. "Come here". Delano held my arm before I got up. "Let me go".

Walking up to her she smiled when she saw Ryan. He was just looking at her. "He's so precious". I smiled "he is".

"Gia I wanted to apologize for everything. It wasn't right what I put you through all this time. Obviously I put my hate for you because you was my mistake. Seeing how you protect Ryan showed me another side of you. Like I said I'm truly sorry for everything. I want us to start over. And have that mother daughter relationship".

I was a little skeptical cause this could be the medication talking. "I accept your apology". She smiled "thank you".

When I was about to walk away I turned back around "since we are starting off on a clean slate. It wouldn't be right if I didn't do my sisterly duties. Rashad is gay and that's his boo thang". The monitor went off the chart. My mom was holding her chest as she was trying to get up off the bed. Smiling at the drama I caused I tapped Delano and we left the room. The nurses were running to the room when we left.

"What? She had to know either way her son was gay" I shrugged. Delano couldn't help but laugh. "You almost killed her! You saw how quick the machines was going crazy".

"That's karma for his ass. Always snitching on me. Well the joke is on him now. And you think I can stay here for a couple of days so I can spend some days with Bria and our father. I wouldn't want to leave without saying my proper good byes".

Delano nodded "you can stay an extra week. But then we are both moving". Smiling "I like that idea". We both walked out the hospital and went to get something to eat. I was starving especially after all the tea I just spilled. Felt good to be karma.
