Poem 67 : Darkness

Every night I try to shut my eyes
Hoping for the light to come early
For everytime I close my lids
Darkness comes and swallows me

No, not that kind of darkness you see
This is the creature inside my heart
Thumping hard so I would let it out
Crawling in the darkest hour

This is the darkness that would
consume me once I let my guard down
That's why I can't fall asleep at night
I am guarding the monster
inside my heart
