I love The Bro Duet so much so chapter based on it! Kinda.

"Oh come ON! We almost had it that time!!" Jeremy yelled at the game, throwing the remote down gently... somehow.

"Relax Jere, we'll beat it eventually. Besides we need a break." Michael put a hand on his back and Jeremy sighed in defeat.

"I...I guess you're right. Let's go grab some of that leftover pizza from last night."

"Alright." The two went to the kitchen and grabbed the box, thankful Jeremy's dad wasn't home(thankful he was on a date with...well there's two people it could be. One female. One male).

They went back upstairs and began eating the pizza, at least after heating it. Michael looked over at Jeremy, who was licking some cheese off of his lips and blushed. Why was he so cute?

"Michael that's gay...well I mean you ARE but..." Michael sighed as he stared. He knew that hiding his thoughts wasn't exactly healthy. Well, here goes nothing.

"Hey Jere...I got something I gotta tell you." He began and Jeremy looked up from his pizza with his big blue eyes and Michael's face turned crimson.

"Yeah Michael?" Jeremy sounded so cute and innocent and it caused Michael's heart to flutter.

"Okay so like...we've been friends for almost 13 years so...Like I trust you when I tell you this." Michael took another look at Jeremy, who blinked and nodded. "God you're so cute..." He mumbled and Jeremy cocked his head. "Umm...N-No homo! I umm...oh I'm not fooling you..." Michael looked down and Jeremy put his hand on his shoulder.

"What are you talking about Michael?" Jeremy asked and Michael glanced at him for a split second and felt his face burn.

"I...forget I said no homo...it isn't no homo...when I said you were...cute..."

"Wait you actually think I'm cute?" Jeremy was taken back by the thought of somebody thinking positively of hid appearance.

"Y-Yeah I do. Very cute. And...charming, in you own dorky little way." Michael began twirling Jeremy's hair, expecting the younger male to push him away but was content when he didn't. "And the way you scrunch you nose when I do this," Michael booped Jeremy's nose and as predicted, Jeremy's nose scrunched up and Michael giggled.

"You know I don't like it when you do that." Jeremy turned red to the face and Michael smiled.

"I know but you're just...just so adorable!! And I've kinda thought this for a while now." Michael scratched his neck in embarrassment.

"How long?"

"Since like...seventh grade. It didn't get super strong though until that time you almost drowned in my pool. Remember that?"

"Oh yeah you gave me CPR didn't you?" Jeremy turned red remembering almost dying in a pool.

"Yeah...I...I might have thought of it as more...more than CPR." Michael shoved a pizza on his mouth, looking down, no longer twirling Jeremy's hair.

"You...you thought of it as a kiss didn't you?" Jeremy asked and Michael nodded, swallowing the pizza as he did.

"I...I loved it...I loved you and...that day I really hoped you were mine...but you were just glad to not be dead you didn't even realize how I felt about it...First of all I was horrified I'd lost you...and then I got to basically kiss you to save your life...kinda like a fairy tale." Michael smiled at the thought of Jeremy being like all those old fairy tale princesses and he got to save him by kissing him.

"Michael I-"

"And one other thing...The matching tattoos...I wanted to be your soulmate...because I'd discovered that whole shebang freshman year...I wanted you to be mine and I thought it would help...and I...I know it's stupid...and I feel stupid...for just liking you..." Michael's eyes shimmered with tears and Jeremy noticed quickly.

So he brought the taller male into s hug, holding him close. Michael fell into the hug more than Jeremy had expected.

"Why haven't you ever told me?" Jeremy asked, nuzzling his head into Michael's shoulder comfortably, giving the older male a sense of trust. More than he had anyways.

"I didn't...I didn't want us to be...weird...or for you to leave me again...I just...I just wanted you to be happy and...I don't think I could make anybody happy...so I'd never be with you." Michael muttered through sobs as he brought Jeremy into the hug tighter.

"I wouldn't leave you...and you do make me happy. You're the only person I don't fake happiness around..." Jeremy told him, and Michael's eyes widened, tears still falling.

The two released the hug and Jeremy wiped Michael's tears away.

"Don't cry...Because I haven't been entirely honest with you either..." Jeremy whispered and Michael gave him a confused look. "There was...a second reason as to why me and Christine broke up..."

"What was that?"

"...I...I realized I kind of liked somebody else..." Jeremy mumbled and Michael felt worse.

"Oh...lemme guess...was it like...Brooke or something?" Michael asked and Jeremy flashed him a smile.

"No. No never. It wasn't even a girl..." Jeremy began and Michael's eyes sparked at the realization. "It... It's you... It's you Michael..." Jeremy cupped Michael's face on both sides, blue eyes sparkling with happiness.

"Jeremy I...You have no idea how long I've wanted to hear that..." Michael brought Jeremy close and didn't even move when Jeremy pulled him into a warm kiss.

Michael felt his heart racing, his face burning, and his fear of rejection fading. It was all he'd ever imagined but more. Soft, warm, and genuine.

When Jeremy released, not that he wanted to, the two felt something more then friendship. Something neither of them had truly felt before that moment.

Love.

True, genuine love. For each other.

It seems Jeremy had been searching for the wrong person for six years. He'd known the person he was meant to be with since he was 5.
