Chapter 38: First Day, Second Semester

CHAPTER 38

ALEXA’s POV

It’s nice to be back in Eastfield University after a two-week sembreak. I feel so fabulous and pretty right now. I feel that this second semester is going to be exciting.

Actually, I haven’t missed anyone during the whole sembreak. I didn’t even miss my girls—Rox and Denise. I only missed one person. I missed him. I missed Argel.

When I entered the room, my two girls greeted me.

“Hi, Alexa!” Denise said.

“You look fabulous!” Rox complimented.

“I know right!” I said. “So, how were your sembreak girls?”

“It was fine,” Rox answered. “We just went to Maldives.”

“Me, I visited my mom in Singapore,” Denise also answered. “I just got back yesterday.”

“Great!” I said while smiling. “That’s great.”

“I see you look very happy,” Rox noticed. “Why?”

“It’s just nice to know that she’s not here anymore,” I said. Then I looked at the empty chair where puto girl used to sit back then.

“So, what’s your plan now?” Denise asked me.

“I’m planning to take her place,” I answered while looking at puto girl’s chair. “I’ll be sitting in that chair from now on.”

“Why?” Rox and Denise asked curiously.

“Para mas malapit ako kay Argel. What’s the used kung nakaupo nga ako sa unahan pero malayo naman siya. Mas mabuti nang maupo ako sa likuran. Atleast, ako naman ang nasa kanyang unahan,” I explained.

“So, okey lang sa’yo na makatabi si Mint at Harvey?” Denise asked.

“Yes,” I said. “I don’t need to be intimidated by them. They should be intimidated by me.”

Then I headed toward the empty chair where puto girl used to sit. From now on, that seat is my seat.

“Hi, Argel!” I greeted him. He’s chatting with Gohan and Ecko at their seats.

“Hi!?” he said when I caught his attention. A bit surprised.

“Hi, Alexa!” Gohan also greeted me. “Why are you sitting there?”
