*Lucy's POV*

WITHOUT HAVING ANY REASON TO LIKE JAMES, LILY BECAME CLOSER TO SNAPE, and James decided to hate him. Since she was able to tolerate Snape and not James, he became quite envious.

He couldn't go anywhere where James didn't push him, or trip him, or hex/jinx him. Honestly, I sometimes felt pity for him.

The worst thing (for him) was that made Lily hate him worse. We were in our dorms at night discussing things actually.

"Can't he just stop?" Asked Lily

"Nope," I told her, "I've already tried."

Lily groaned into her pillow, "Stupid Potter."

I fell into my bed and said, "yup."

The next morning was very boring actually. Nothing really happened. At least that I was aware of, I was starting to block people out, they were annoying.

Remus sat down next to me in the library, "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine."

Truth is, I felt very useless. I was bored and had absolutely nothing to do.

He made me look up to him, "I know you're not ok."

I stopped reading and closed my book. "You are absolutely right Lupin."

He signaled to the door and we left, me feeling as if I was annoying him. "Whats wrong?" Remus asked.

I shook my head, "It's hard to explain."

"Well we have all day, tomorrow is the big game remember?"

I smiled, "Now if you only had chocolate."

He reached for something in his robes and pulled chocolate out.

I could tell my eyes widened, he was beaming, "I knew you were going to do that." I took the piece he was offering me. "Thank you."

I looked at him, he was eating a piece of his own. "Why do you like chocolate so, so much?" I asked him.

"The same reason you like it." I nodded and I laid on the grass, he proceeded to do so too.

"Why are you always leaving?" I asked him still looking at the sky, it was currently cloudless.

I could feel his voice shaking, but just a bit, so it was barely noticeable. "I've told you, my mother is sick and I visit her every week to make sure she's okay." I nodded and closed my eyes.

"Thank you." I told Remus, turning to him.

"For what?"

"Thank you for understanding, and making time for me."

"Nobody ever understood me."

The only reason we stopped talking was because we were hungry. I hadn't told him anything but he had a new scar in his face, he had barely gotten back.

Sirius and James were in deep conversation when we got there. Peter was nowhere to be found.

"Hey," Sirius said, alerting James of our arrival. I turned to Remus and gave him a look.

A look that told him to be careful. I had known them only good enough to know that they were up to something.

"What are you guys up to?" I asked Sirius and James, raising an eyebrow.

"No hello or anything?" James asked.

"We haven't seen you in days!" Exaggerated Sirius. "That only applies to Remus, I just saw you this morning."

"Exactly!" Exclaimed Sirius, "that was hours ago."

James suddenly looked around, "Have any of you guys seen Peter?"

Remus shrugged and said, "I haven't seen him in days!"

I groaned. "Come on that was a good joke." Said Remus nudging my ribs. "It wasn't." We all said in unison.

"You know you're basically implying that you make bad jokes right Black?"

"Hey!"

Going to the kitchens, we were all bickering around.

"God James, be more quieter would you?" I exclaimed.

"If a prefect catches you, I was sleepwalking." Sirius said.

"Sirius it's not even after hours yet." Remus told him.

"Mate, you are horrible in doing anything really." Sirius told James,

"Are you talking to a mirror?" James remarked.

"An ugly version though," Sirius replied.

"That was seriously a bad joke," James mumbled.

"Is it because it's true? Also how could my joke not be Sirius?" Sirius said beaming.

"Merlin," I said, "Just shut up won't you?"

"In a bad mood, huh, Ross?" Sirius teased.

"I will literally slap you," I threatened.

"I don't believe that for a second," He said.

About to raise my hand, I saw him flinch. "Hey—"

"Aren't you guys going to go inside?" Peter asked, as I realized they were already inside.

"Yeah."

We were telling jokes and everything, everyone drinking butterbeer (the house elf's really do have a huge stock).

"Lucy!" I said waiting for the elf to come.

She appeared with a crack, "Yes?"

"How have you been?"

We all got into a conversation talking about our day and sorts like that.

"Oh, sorry master but I must go."

"No worries."

When she disappeared James looked at me and asked "She calls you master?"

"Apparently."

"But you don't own a house elf!" Exclaimed James, Sirius laughing his arse off at the annoyed James.

"She just likes me."
