Chapter 69, Family is Forever.

*Lucys POV*

Taking off my high heels, I ran inside the house which had several Aurors and members of the Order of the Phoenix surrounding it.

  Many tired to stop me but I was panicking, Kingsley also helped in the way of getting inside.

We rushed inside and I asked, "How many people were in the house?"

"Just your parents."

"Are they safe?" I ran to the kitchen, Kingsley didn't answer. "Are they safe!?"

He shook his head and I ran to their room. We could hear that the death eaters had escaped and were fighting the aurors and members.

Kingsley rushed outside leaving me alone. I opened the door to find them both on the ground, dead.

There was a crash in my room and I went to find it, an unsuccessful death eater trying to escape.

"Stupefy!"

The death eater blocked the spell and we were suddenly dueling in my old bedroom. I could hear people running up the stairs when I decided to try the spell one more time.

"Crucio."

Suddenly, they collapsed and they yelled out in pain. Kingsley and other aurors I've seen before arrived and told me that they would take care of it. They left while I just stood there, unable to process what had happened.

Kingsley came up again. "We should bring you back to the wedding."

"Yeah."

I arrived barefooted, and made a beeline to whoever I could find first.

Remus came up to me and started to say something while I collapsed in his arm, small sobs every now and then.

"What happened?"

"My parents died."

"What?" I heard Sirius from behind. I grabbed his hand and ran out.

"Wait!" I heard him say behind me, "Stop Lucy!" I stopped and looked at him.

"What happened?" He asked. "They're dead. I didn't like the lot of them, they were rude and straight up toxic, but I just.....can't believe it. That's what Kingsley needed me for," I explained quickly, "I just...I don't know anymore."

I buried my face in his shoulder and he let me cry. After some while, we just wandered around in our animagus form.

By 'wandered around', I mean we looked at how everything looked. With  the night arriving, it looked at its best.

I saw Remus and James coming around looking for someone. I figured it was us so I just turned back, and Sirius did the same.

"I'm sorry." I told him, guilt washing over me. "You're sorry? For what?"

"Just about everything." He scoffed, "Don't say that rubbish. You shouldn't be sorry."

"Then how come I am?" He thought about it for a second, "Because you think you should be."

"You know, I think I like this Sirius." I said, "Better than this one?" We passionately kissed and he had an expectant look on his face.

"Fine, you win. Happy?" He smiled, "Definitely."

"There you are!" Prongs exclaimed, "Where were you two?" James, of course, had to ask.

"We were just here."

"Prongs you're too over dramatic." Remus told him. "Am not! He's the over dramatic!" He pointed to Sirius.

  "Yes, but you are also over dramatic." I pointed out, "Never."

I smiled goofily at him, "You are." He made a face at me and said, "Padfoot, fix your wife."

"I would worry about yours Prongs, look behind you." Padfoot said which made him jump but he only found Wormtail coming our way.

"Lums, you better do something or I'll kill him."

"You love him too much." Remus told him. He looked over at Padfoot who was in his dog form, whimpering.

"Fuck you Pads."
