*Lucys POV*

"I can see why you don't like your siblings, but you ought to be politer to them. If you act the same way as them that really isn't going to help." Lily told me as when we came back from the funeral.

"Look Lily, growing up there you'd realize that they are all bark and no bite, while I am really just...aggressively angry at them. So, I bite." I said to her.

Padfoot and Prongs looked like they were going to burst out of laughter for the metaphor I used. While Prongs had a goofy smile, Padfoot had a smirk on.

I winked at him, but then Lily got irritated with Prongs.

"What do you think is so funny? The funeral?"

"In my defense, funeral does have the word fun in it." He shrugged earning a scoff from Lily.

"You're lucky that I'm married to you." She told him, "I'm luckier." Prongs flirted, which got a slight blush from Lily.

"Nice Prongs." Sirius smirked which earned him an elbow nudge from me.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, "Bark and bite." I said.

"Hey Pads?" I asked him one night when we were in bed.

"Yeah Lucy?" He said sleepily. "Sorry, Just, never mind."

"Mmhm." He said and drifted off to sleep while I didn't sleep at all.

That morning, I received an emergency owl from the Ministry while both Sirius and me got one from the Order.

"I'll go to the Ministry one, you go to the Order one." I ordered, "Yes ma'am!"

"I love you." He said giving me a quick peck on my lips. "I love you more." I told him.

Apparating to the Ministry, we had been sent immediately to another location near a huge muggle town. It was bad enough that Voldemort had been making attacks in the Wizarding world, but it was worse since he brought the muggles into it attacking them every now and then.

We were sent to a severely damaged house, I don't think the term house works actually, that had a couple of death eaters inside.

Some aurors were ordered to go inside, others to secure that they couldn't escape, and then more to stand guard.

I stepped into the house and it just had this weird feeling that something was waiting to happen.

"Be careful." The Head Aurors had said before we went inside. Mad eye Moody's voice rang in my head: Constant vigilance!

Checking what was left of each room, I found a hidden door to what appeared to be a basement.

"Over here!" I yelled and got three aurors at my side.

"Hering, you go first. Lorie, stay here. Go on," Urie, one of the Head Aurors commanded.

"I have a bad feeling about this Urie, we shouldn't just go in there."

"We have to, it's all we got here all the others are at different locations."

I reluctantly went in and whispered, "Lumos."

It showed that there were 4 death eaters. After a quite intense dueling session, we got them with my arm being left injured for the stupid bastard that Urie was.

"Get their wands." Urie commanded while they were tied up. "Lorie! Get in here!"

The four of us then just had to get their masks and I saw..my brother. Looking at him, I concluded that there had been a reason to why he wasn't there at the funeral. How he had basically disappeared from the house as soon as he got out of Hogwarts.

"Send my regrets to them, I didn't mean to kill them. I was kind of hoping to get you three." He said,  his face barely showing emotion.

"You?" I managed to get out. The aurors had knocked the others unconscious after getting their names, but I had just been in a trance to realize that I was not who had betrayed her family.

"Me." He sarcastically said, "Congratulations in getting married, thought I'd at least get an invitation." But still, no emotion showed except for irritation.

"You." I said, "Why would he even want a Hufflepuff?" I asked, out of all hufflepuffs, he was probably the weakest one.

"Believe it or not, I've done quite the greatest things ever in a year. There it goes off my bucket list."

"You're not making your case better, everything you're saying can and will be used against you."

"I thought you were training to be an auror? Not officially one yet." Footsteps were heard and Lorie informed them that we were here.

"Don't try to be a smartass, you're only saying things to contradict you." I told him, my blood boiling.

"Well, it's certainly been fun being here. I'll see you later." He said and I stepped to try to stop what he was about to.

One skill the Rosses were known for was wandless Magic.

"Accio."

"No!" Was the last thing I could do before I tried to do something, anything, but failed miserably.

In almost less than a second he had apparated away.

"One of them escaped!" Urie yelled out. "We had put down the spells already!" The other head auror told her.

"I need to go." I said and apparated out of there.
