Chapter 37, Back to Black.

*Lucys POV*

  
  I ended up in the black lake as a wolf.
What had happened? Isn't this what I wanted?
I shook my head clearing my thoughts. But it was what I wanted. I guess I panicked. As much I liked him, he was a player.
But he was for me when nobody else was. Or at least we had secrets we've only told each other.
But he cheated on you!
But he clearly still likes us. Don't you remember he smelled you in the amortentia?
I eventually closed my eyes and I wondered somewhere else. Sunlight woke me up. I quickly went back to the castle and "slept." After a while I really wasn't having it so I woke all of them up.

  "WAKE UP!" I screeched at them and Prongs threw me his pillow. He mumbled something and slept again. I turned to a wolf and curled up with Sirius. He petted me and went to sleep again. I looked at the clock. It was a Sunday but I doubt they remembered, then I remembered.

  "There's a Quidditch game today!" I frantically said. James shot up and said that it was Ravenclaw and hufflepuff and that he didn't care. Devastated that my plan didn't work, I yelled, "We're going to be late!" All of them threw me pillows and said that they weren't falling for it.

  I decided that it was their fault if they didn't want to hang out with me. When I was leaving I felt warm saliva and figured that it was Padfoot. I looked at him and opened the door and he was kinda leading(?) me somewhere and I followed him. We ended out in the hideout. I sat down and he put his head on my lap and turned back.

  "Did I do something wrong?" He asked me. "I don't know Sirius, I'm not mad at you, but I also....." and there I stopped. I knew the words that were going to come out were, "still like you." "Also?" Sirius asked. "I also...also...also." I said. He was about to talk when I blurted out, "I also still like you." I shut my eyes not wanting to see him, and he laughed. "I also still like you, and that's the reason I broke up with Marlene." I opened my eyes. "You broke up with her?"

  "Yes, I did." Padfoot said matter-of-factly. "She was a bit crazy. In the bad way." He leaned in, "I also missed you." And I kissed him. I kissed him. Finally.

  "I've missed you too."

"Are we together now?" "I guess so." "Should we tell James?" "I-I really don't know." "He might be mad," "He will be mad." "Let's just let him down gently." "Yeah like that'll work." "Lums?" "Yes Pads?" "I love you." I was a bit shocked but I answered with, "I love you too Sirius."

  It was Lunch, and we were eating when James sat down. Lily and Marlene were no where to be seen. "Are you guys getting along now?" James asked, and Sirius being Sirius Orion Black said, "A little more than getting along." With a smirk. I felt my cheeks go red, and I quickly hid them.

"Are you guys dating again?" James said, continuing eating. "Yes." I said while he just said, "Ok," he said shrugging. "I guess it's your choice so." We then continued to talk, more specifically about Quidditch and since we were going for the cup, we needed extra practice

  Christmas break was approaching, and while Sirius, James, Remus, Peter, Lily, and practically everyone was leaving for their homes, I wasn't. Sirius decided at last minute that he was staying here, which I was thankful for.
