Chapter 57, France.

*Lucys POV*

"Ready?" I asked Padfoot. He hesitated, "Yes." I raised my wand and we apparated out to Hyères.

Once there, the whole view changed. I don't know exactly where we were, but it didn't matter because it was beautiful. Sirius knew fluent French, so he did all the talking for me. We stayed at a wizarding part of it, which helped because we didn't have to hide our wands or anything similar to that.

We were in a resort that had a secluded ocean part because of the mountains surrounding it.

I could, of course, understand what bonjour and merci meant since it was common knowledge. At least to me, anyways.

While Padfoot was talking to other people and whatnot, I ventured the hotel, (trivago. I'm sorry I just had to.) looking at beautiful mosaics and paintings.

I told Padfoot I would be outside, and I looked at the dock where people were jumping and couples were kissing and other things. I saw families having fun with each other, and I have to admit that I missed that.

As I was turning around, I saw quite a suspicious view. There was a girl who looked like Lily, the same dark hair, but with sunglasses and a hat. There was also a black haired tall person next to her holding her hand, when Sirius approached me.

"Is that Prongs and Lily?" I asked him, "No, I don't think so, they said they weren't going to come, and they would be walking towards us of they actually were here." Sirius replied, "Yeah, you're probably right."

"Lets go inside, I got us a room that overlooks the ocean."

The day passed quickly, as did the week.

Every second I spent with him, was treasure to me really. With the war going on, and here, everyone seemed clueless about it. It was nice to be away from reality.

We had gone out to the beach and I had put on a light cover up, as it was getting chilly since it was the first of November.

It was about 4-5, since the sun was starting to go down. We had gone to the beach for a small walk and we ended up here.

"Lucy?" Sirius asked, "Yes?" I said turning away from the sunset to face him.

"I love you. And I don't think I've ever loved someone as much as you. You are the most incredible person I have ever met in my life. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. If I don't, I think that would be a waste of time," He went down on one knee.

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes!"

After I said yes, I heard people clapping and congratulations all around. But the people in the back were the loudest.

Naturally, it had to be, "Wormtail? Prongs? Lily? Moony?" They all just ambushed Sirius and me in a hug.

Lily was crying and trying to sob out the words, "Congratulations-I- love you- both!"

"Nice one mate." Prongs said which earned a smack from me and Lily in the head. Which we could both barely reach.

Lily and I were pretty short, she was 5'4, and me 5'5. I took pride in being 1 inch taller than her, but Wormtail was half an inch taller so.

"Hey! It was just a joke!" Prongs claimed.
