Chapter 30, Excuses.

*Lucys POV*

It had been a week after the accident. I still hadn't been going to my classes, Moony was back, and Lily was in good terms with me. Nobody had been told what actually had happened, but I was healing with the help of Lucy. She had gotten medicine from the room of requirement.
Eventually I healed and went to classes again. They were way more noticeable for my liking, I covered it up with a charm. All of my problems were fixed except for one, Sirius. Ok, ok, I feel guilty for making him feel even more guilty so I thought it would be better to apologize to him. Actually, I still need to talk to Moony. Anyways, I can do that in Ancient Runes.

"Hey." I said sitting down next to him.

 "Hey."

 "Are you ok?" 

"Are you ok?"

 "No."

 "It's fine, I'm ok."

 "You aren't."

 "But I'm fine."

 "I'll take your word for it." He said finally smiling.

That had been taken care of, next thing to do is find Padfoot.

When I saw Sirius snogging the Hufflepuff girl, I stood in shock for a split second. The second time he's fooled me. I didn't want to be predictable and go to the kitchens, Black lake, or the hideout. So I went to Hagrids.

"Hello! Long time no see yer!" Hagrid said when he opened the door. "Can I come in?" "Of course!" He made tea and we talked about everything except Padfoot. I had to leave for dinner though. "See you Hagrid!" "Bye Lucy!"

Instead of going to the great hall I went to the kitchens. Surprisingly, there were some Slytherins there. I ignored them and grabbed something to eat. They were surprisingly nice to me, I wondered why tHEY were in Slytherin for a second. I mean, I understand that some SLytherins aren't that bad, but they can be real foul gits. I then went to the common room, and "passed" out on the couch. As soon as I felt a pair of hands try to pick me up, I woke up.

"I'm fine I can walk." I said getting out of their hands. "Well you were just there so..." Padfoot continued. I ignored him and went to sleep on my bed.

I didn't need more excuses.

It was Saturday, meaning that everyone was there. Moony and Wormtail were playing exploding snap, and then Prongs joined in. I didn't see Padfoot, but he was probably in the shower. I changed and went to the hideout. Predictable, I know, but I didn't want to go too far. I turned to a wolf, which was more comfortable, and went into my nook. I heard the door open and Padfoot came out. He looked at me and started to talk to me. He said he was sorry. He said he'll never do it again, and this time I hoped he meant it.

I turned back and asked him about the girl, "She kissed me, I didn't kiss her." I decided to believe him. "I forgive you but let me make this very clear. This is your last shot. No more chances." He nodded and said he understood.

I hugged him and spilled my guts about everything, the war, him, the prank. Everything hurt to me, my fear of my family going to the death eaters, my body literally, and just all of these emotions that I've been holding in.

And he understood.
