*Lucys POV*

She was a backup plan.

Nothing more, nothing less.

And it didn't help that Ari just flat out said it.

I looked over to Sirius. He didn't look very much asleep. He looked like he wasn't breathing actually.

"You awake?" I whispered to him.

"Yeah." He whispered back.

It was silent again.

I tried to speak multiple times, but they all ended in silence. I was never able to let the words get out. They would just be itching at the back of my throat.

Standing up from lying in the bed, I heard Sirius head shift over to look at me.

"You alright?" Sirius asked.

I turned over to face him. "Do I look alright?"

"You look fine."

"Not the time Sirius."

"Okay, well," he started, "You don't really look alright. None of us do, we're in the middle of a war Lucy."

"I don't see you carrying a backup plan in your uterus!"

"So she is a backup plan-"

"You're not helping!" I said putting my head on my hands.

"She's a backup plan, but that doesn't mean she's going to have a horrible life, it's that she's going to have a hell of a life."

"That could mean two things Sirius!" I said, "Merlin she's going to be...how...I don't wanna...she's going..."

"Calm down!" Sirius said, taking my hands away from my face, "She's going to be fine."

"Merlin Sirius! Don't lie to me!" I pulled away from him, "I can't stand hearing the word 'fine' anymore! It's always just a fucking lie and I'm just..." and I broke down crying.

"Don't worry," he said letting me cry into his shoulder, "Maybe everything's not going to be fine, maybe it'll be the complete opposite of fine. But you know what?"

"What?" I asked, looking up at him.

"We'll make her be fine. We'll give her the best childhood and help her in between the rocky places. Because we're going to be parents. And that's what parents are supposed to do. And we'll do it because we're going to love her as much as we can."

"Merlin, I don't know what I'd do without you Sirius." I told him.

"You'd be lost," He said with a small laugh.

"I'm already lost because of you."

"That's rather rude of you Ross."

"No, no," I said shaking my head. "It's been Black for a while now."

The months went by, and it was eventually early July and Lily looked like she was about to explode.

She walked kinda awkwardly as if all she wanted to do was for the baby to come out of her vagina already.

"We still haven't figured the baby's name yet," James whispered as Lily was making a fuss and Peter rushed out to help her, "She said she liked harry but I'm honestly afraid to talk to her about it."

"I would be too," Sirius whispered back.

"I am too," I whispered.

"Don't bring it up," Frank whispered.

"She'll kill you," Alice whispered with a small giggle.

Remus leaned in from the back, "I wouldn't bring it to light until she does."

"What are you six talking about?" She asked, "Poor Peter is the only one helping me right now!"

Peter turned red and I surpressed a laugh.

"Right!" They all basically said.

She looked at my direction. "Hey, I am just about as pregnant as you."

Lily glanced at Alice who just threw her hands up on the air.

She sighed and sat on the couch with me and Alice. Alice glanced in my direction, and I just raised my eyebrows.

"So," I said mustering courage, "Have you two decided his name?" Alice gave me a look of 'oh no.'

"No. We're still caught up in Jonathan and Harry, but I've thinking about Liam for some odd reason." Lily said her tone changing completely.

"Huh," I said, looking over at Alice, then at James who was now trying not to laugh at something Sirius said.

"How are the mood swings coming Lils?" Alice questioned and it was my time to give her a look.

"I don't think I've had any. It's happened once or twice since he came along, but that's it."

My eyes were glued to what was happening in the kitchen. Prongs' face was red now, Padfoot looked over and gestured at him with a face. A small smile appeared on my face as Prongs started to choke on who knows what. Causing Wormtail, Frank, and  Moony to burst out laughing and then Padfoot to follow. Alice giggled slightly. And so did Lily.

Prongs still had a smile on his face, seemingly growing with each second passing.

Returning to our talk, Alice chimed in, "Frank's been having trouble with deciding what we're going to do about the prophecy," She said softly, "We both think that we should go into hiding, like you two, but he doesn't want to be stuck completely in one place."

"James thought the same," Lily said, "But we're both going into hiding."

Alice turned to me, "What about you and Sirius?"

I stared kind of blankly at her. We hadn't really decided anything so far.

"He's having diffculty choosing," I told them, "I'm pretty sure he wants me to do into hiding, but he doesn't want to. Sirius isn't really one to settle down."

"Thats why we were surprised when he wanted to marry you," Alice chimed in, while Lily nodded.

"Exactly. Which is why I think he'll make me go into hiding. A lot has happened in the two past years, as we got married and now having Lyra, and I just don't feel like pushing it."

Alice opened her mouth as to say something but then closed it. "I understand, yeah. Hey, we have an extra room over at our house. If what you say might happend, does happen,  you can always come over and stay with us."

I looked over at Sirius, James, Peter, Frank, and Remus who were doing god knows what. But they all had a big-ass smile on their faces.

"Yeah," I said looking over at her, "That sounds good."
