Chapter 38, Christmas.

*Lucys POV*

   Today was Slughorns Christmas party, just before anyone goes home. The first one was rather, er, awkward but Lily and I survived it. That was 2 months ago. We've had a 4 of them with the Christmas one, and I really didn't want to go. Padfoot, Prongs, and Wormtail were going to, wait what are they going to do? I wasn't paying attention to what they were saying earlier. Lily had forced me to put a dress on, so I put the only one I had. It was a black dress, which I'm pretty sure I once wore to a funeral. It was a bit comfy, but it felt too short. Lily said I looked good and everything but I just stayed in the back where no one was. We took pictures and nothing happened. At all. After I went to the dorm, Prongs and Padfoot were not there.

  "Moony, Have you seen them?" I asked what had seemed like Moony but was just a lump of pillows. I looked at the poster he had rolled up in his drawer,

Tonight is a full moon.

Of course! I changed to a sweatshirt and sweatpants and dashed off to help them. As soon as I got out of the castle I transformed. I tried to throw a pebble but missed horribly.

This is why you're not a chaser.

I ended up freezing the tree with a rather large branch. I entered and they were all relaxed. This sometimes happened, he would just be there, walking around. Quite creepy now that I think of it but the night passed quickly.

   Moony, Prongs, Wormtail, and Lily were all going home, Padfoot and me were staying. The first day alone was fine. We spent time in the Astronomy tower pointing out constellations and stars. We also spent a lot more of our time in the hideout. Eating was a bit weird since we were the only students left and only the Professors that stayed year-long were here. This included, Professor Dumbledore, McGonagall, Jones, Sinestra, and Madame Pomfrey. We sat in one table, which was uncomfortable. Dumbledore was calm and cheerful though. Sirius and I don't talk much while there, the Professors talk to us occasionally but nothing really happened.

  "What's your favorite planet?" Padfoot asked me, "Well, Earth. Without humanity because we just hurt it more. If you're talking about planets other than Earth, Pluto." "Mine is Saturn." "Why?" "Because it rains diamonds there, if I'm correct." "You are correct."

   We usually slept in the hideout, the dorm looked altered without Prongs and Moony. Wormtail too of course.

"I'm going to deliver their presents today so they get it on Christmas, do you want to come with me?" I asked Padfoot. "Sure." Noah usually hung out in the owlery and he better be there when I get there.

  I knew that Padfoot just said yes because he, 1, was bored, 2, there was no one else here.

  I gave Noah the presents and he went off, leaving us alone and deciding what to do. We figured we could take a stroll or stay inside. I wanted to go outside, but it was frankly freezing. I had to put a heating charm on my clothes to warm up. Sirius did the same. We explored the castle even though we already knew most of the secrets that Hogwarts offered, for we had mapped it out. After getting bored we went back to the common room and sat there, talking, wrapped in an blanket.

I eventually went to sleep not knowing anything else.

"ITS CHRISTMAS!" I heard Padfoot yell, and I jolted straight up. We did the usual, opened presents, talked, ate, talked, wished a merry Christmas to the Professors, did something stupid, ate, and slept.

A/N: Sorry if the chapters a bit meh, I kind of ran out of inspiration little by little, but I can promise(not really) that the next chapters not going to be this bad.
