Chapter 85, Baby Belly ™.

*Lucy's POV*

A few months had passed since we had returned from the U.S. and I had started to develop my baby belly.

Sirius said it was fine, of course he would say that because he wasn't carrying it.

There were a lot of weird feelings although it wasn't anything too sirius.

"Are you getting the weird feelings too?" Lily asked one day.

"Most of the time it's when it's night, I haven't been able to sleep well actually, but I think it's because your inactive you know?"

She nodded.

"But it's nothing major."

"Yeah. Well actually I was reading yesterday and I noticed that we can figure out the baby's gender at 18-20 weeks."

"Really?"

"Yes, James and I were actually going to go to St. Mungos later today, but it looks like he's having fun with Sirius at the moment."

"I still need about a week left...I don't know the exact time I got pregnant but I know it was later than you so I'm giving it one more week."

"What gender are you hoping for?" She asked, "You want a girl don't you?"

I felt myself get red, "No! I mean, I do but if it's a boy I'll feel bad because even though I'll love him just as much as if he was a girl and I feel bad about wanting a specific gender..."

"Sirius put it out!" We all practically screamed at him.

"Why?" He whined, taking the cigarette out of his mouth.

"Because then you"ll...hurry the baby." I said hesitantly.

"That's if you smoke."

"I'm still breathing in the smoke aren't I?"

"Fine," he grumpily said.

"Yeah and well—woah!" Lily said, jumping up at the same time with Prongs.

"Did you feel that?" Prongs exclaimed, making us all jump up as well.

"Was it the baby?" Moony asked.

"Did it kick?" Peter asked.

We all rushed over to her and sure enough I felt the baby kick.

"Merlin!"

James looked absolutely in love, and Lily just had a weird expression on her face.

"It feels so weird," she said, "There's something kicking inside of me."

"Ouch," Peter said.

"No Peter, that's the thing. It doesn't exactly hurt. It's just slightly uncomfortable."

"Boy, am I glad I am not you right now." Sirius remarked.

"Did you just make fun of females?"

"Did I?"

"I said, did you just make fun of females?"

Moony sighed, Peter looked downright terrified, and Prongs had a small smirk on his face.

"Good luck Padfoot. I'll get Lucy wants to hear the answer to that," He said pointing at my direction.

"So, did you?" I asked, eerily calm.

There was only silence as James, Remus, and Peter exited.

"...I love you?.."

We laid in bed, Padfoot rubbing my belly, as I wondered if I was able to transform into an animagi.

"I wonder if you can figure out the gender by now," Sirius asked me.

"I was actually talking to Lily about that. Says we can figure out the gender by now."

"Oh really?"

"Yes Pads, I've actually been thinking about the name Leo, since it's gender neutral, but I also thought about—"

We both jumped back.

"Did you feel that?" Padfoot asked.

"Yes," I said, feeling another kick. "They're kicking!"

Sirius quickly put his hand back on my stomach, his smile as big as I've ever seen it.
