*Lucys POV*
2 days before Hogsmeade, we had Potions of course, but with a twist. We were making amortentia when James and Lily broke into a fight.
"I can't smell a damn thing!" Prongs started,
"Impossible, I'm 110% sure that I got this right!"
"Well, obviously not."
"Well perhaps, I could actually smell something if you didn't use bucketloads of conditioner this morning!"
"I wouldn't be the one to talk, the amount of rose perfume you're wearing is giving me an asthma attack!"
They continued bickering like this for a while.I nudged Padfoot on the ribs, "How long 'til they realized that that's the amortentia?" Padfoot still seemed confused, "You hogged the bathroom this morning, and as far as I could remember, Lily didn't smell like rose." Padfoot then seemed to realize.
My amortentia was done, and I leaned in to smell it.
The smell of earth after rain.
The ocean.
Old books.
Chocolate.
Padfoot.
Wait what? I then seemed to realize when Slughorn said to leave a bit of our potion on his desk. We did as asked, but I kept a bit of it."What did you smell?" Padfoot Asked me. "Well, I smelt earth after rain, Old books, Chocolate, and, you." I said whispering the last part. He still heard me and even though I was looking down, I felt his eyes light up.
"Me?"
"Yes you, now what did you smell?"
"I smelt home, something canine, and you."
"You smelt me?"
"Of course."~*~
The day of the trip, I was walking down the hallway with Lily when I saw Padfoot and Regulus talking. Actually they were arguing. I told Lily that I'll meet her at Honeydukes.
"—the moment you traded them, for us." Regulus said in a pained voice. He caught my eye but continued arguing.
Here's the thing. I met the Blacks before. I had been lying, for it is only an distinct memory. I was 7. My mom had put my in a green dress, one that I had hated, and off we went to their house for tea. The adults left Sirius, Regulus, in an room. I had told them I needed to use the bathroom. They showed me were it was and I locked myself in there. After I thought the coast was clear, I got out and eavesdropped on the conversation the adults were having.
"We could arrange marriage for Lucy and Sirius as soon as they leave Hogwarts." Walburga said, "Absolutely not." My dad interrupted. "I will not have an arranged marriage with my only daughter."
"Why not?" My Mom asked. At that point I had left running, to the bathroom, and cried silently. I knew my mom wanted to keep up the blood purity but, enough to have an arranged marriage?
And only my dad not wanting me to? After about 2 minutes, I left the loo and went to the room where they were. We engaged in small conversation and I had decided that they were fine. An hour later we left and never came back, at least I never went back.
"Have they arranged your marriage?" Sirius asked Regulus, "Yes, and I'm plenty happy with it instead of playing with all of the girls in all of this castle like your playing her!" He said pointing to me. "Don't b—"
"Believe it or not Regulus he's not playing me." I interrupted, "Now if cyou excuse us, we have a place to be." I said walking away with Padfoot.
After he was out of earshot, I told Sirius, "What did you do to start that again?" "Nothing! I just said 'Hey Reg,' and he said, 'Don't call me Reg." So we started to fight."
"Let me guess, it was because of you walking out of your home, abandoning them and replacing them with us?"
"How did you know?"
"I have ears Pads."
"Haha very funny."We eventually made it to the carriages that led to Hogsmeade, and Padfoot kept talking but my mind wandered away. "We're here." He said, snapping me away from the daydream. "Oh."
He said that we were going to the three broomsticks, because the rest of them were probably there. And as we got in, they were there.
"Oi! Lummie! Over here!" Prongs yelled out. They had gotten the one at the back where it was a bit isolated. We started talking about Quidditch.
Eventually our butterbeers came and I thought of how much I had missed it. We went to Zonkos and Honeydukes, as well as a bookstore, I needed to get more parchment. We went back to the Three Broomsticks to get our last butterbeer before going back.
"How have you been liking it Lums?" Prongs asked, "It's fine, I like it."
"Especially Honeydukes." Moony said, "I agree." Wormtail added, "No! What about Zonkos! That place is amazing!" Padfoot butted in."It's true, it's amazing! Did you see the new products? Like the rubber duck that explodes when you touch it?" Prongs added. Shortly after our butterbeer arriving we left for the carriages.
And even though I'm still nervous around there, it wasn't that bad.
A/N: Sorry for posting sometimes short chapters. It might not seem short to you guys but it does to me because I usually upload them at 1,000 words least, but my inspiration is running a bit slow.
