*Lucys POV*
"It's a girl."
I felt my heart drop and I think Sirius did too as he squeezed my hand in a comforting manner.
~*~
"We're going to have a girl!" I hugged him, practically in tears.
He repeated what I had said and hugged me back.
Sirius planted kisses all over my face and over my stomach.
"It's a girl." I whispered over and over.
~*~
Hours later, Lily and James swinger by to tell us the news.
"ITS A BOY!" James bellowed as he hugged Sirius and me.
"He's been boasting about it all day," Lily explained with a small smile on her face. "We told Remus and Peter already."
She was about to open her mouth but both Padfoot and me told her at the same time.
"ITS A GIRL!"
Prongs and Lily's smiles were etched on their faces as they burst out with "congratulations!"
We sat down as I asked them about names suggestions.
"Have you thought about names?"
"I wanted Harriet for a girl," James said, "And Lily wanted Barry for a boy."
"It was my grandfathers name," She clarified.
"And what about now?" Padfoot asked.
"We're still looking into it," James looked over to Lily with a charming smile. "Right darling?"
"Sure."
I leaned in to Sirius, "ouch."
He did the same, "Poor child, probably 's going to be called something like Barriet."
I did my best to not burst out laughing as Lily and James were watching us.
"I think they're onto us." I told him, making him look up to them.
"Is there something you two would like to tell us?" Lily asked us, as James had an amused expression on his face.
"Sirius?" I said, taking the attention off of me.
"Uh," He said, "We think your child should be called Elvendork?"
"Elvendork?" Lily asked, wearing the same amused expression as James now.
"It's unisex!" I blurted out.
"Why don't you use it then?"
"We've already decided on a name," Sirius smoothly explained.
"Have we, now?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," Padfoot said, "We have."
"Which is?" James and Lily asked at the same time.
"...Aries?"
I was taken aback.
Aries?
As in the constellation, or my aunt, the grand sorceress of her time?
Or both?
It wasn't like I had a problem with it. It's a rather lovely name actually, but I was curious as why he picked it out.
Later that evening when Lily and James departed, I confronted him about it.
"Aries?" I asked him.
"It's just a suggestion," He said, raising his hands, "But I've been thinking about it for a while."
"I like it. But I've been thinking about the name Lyra too," I told him. "Y'know, the sky harp." We said at the same time.
"Yeah," Sirius chuckled. "I remember you saying it was one of your favorite constellations back at Hogwarts. You said Canis Major was your favorite one." He nudged me.
"And it went straight to your head." I told him.
"Hey!"
"Well," I said turning to him, "Didn't it?"
He gave me a playful glare, and said, "No."
"Ha!" I yelled.
~*~
It was weird when there was days with Sirius, as the Order had given him plenty of work. Lily would usually be my only company, and maybe even Alice at times. In our 6th month, Lily and James had received some very surprising news.
We were sitting in their living room, all of us.
Moony had gotten new scars as the full moon had passed recently, Peter looked incredibly nervous for some reason, Sirius and James had gotten a scar from their mission, and Lily and I were unscathed, but with a little human growing in our wombs.
I had been running my hands through Sirius' hair as he claimed he liked the feeling.
"You look so beautiful from here." Sirius said, as I felt my cheeks tingle.
Padfoot had a goofy smile on his face, content at making me blush.
I stopped touching his hair as I saw his goofy smile turn into an overdramatic frown.
"Why?" He asked dramatically.
"You know," I smirked.
"I can't have any fun?"
"Hmm, no."
"Rude."
"Thank you," I told him.
"I didn't me—" But before he could say another word Lily interrupted him.
"Sirius." She said in her commanding voice.
"Fine."
She sighed, making Peter, Remus, and James have an amused expression on all of their faces.
Lily turned around to see them as they quickly changed the looks on their faces to anything else. Until they all looked similar to a terrified one.
"James," she told him. "Right." He said standing up.
"We have some news. It's not bad but it also isn't the best."
"What is it then?"
"It's him," He said pointing to Lily's belly.
We all started to panic and thought the same thing.
Its a miscarriage.
Or
Something happened to his health.
Before anyone could ask though, James said, "No! He's fine, it's just that..." he turned to Lily who signaled him to say more.
"There was a prophecy."
