Chapter 27, Birthdays

*Lucys POV*

   Today was Sirius birthday, and I hadn't done my potion yet. I snuck off in the middle of the night, and went to the girls room, but it was Moaning Myrtles one.

"Doing another potion aren't you?" She said in a very high pitched voice. "Yeah, it's Padfoots' birthday after all." "Padfoot?" "Sirius."

After Moaning Myrtle surprisingly helped me with telling me the time, I finished it just in time.

"Thanks Myrtle, I owe you one!" And I ran to the Kitchens, where u would tell the elves to put it in Sirius' morning Pumpkin Juice. My plan was working perfectly until the Ravenclaw Prefect found her way to my steps.

"Who's there?" She said in a shakily voice, I could tell it was her first time. I turned into a wolf and went away from her. After I thought it was safe I went to the kitchens and told gave them the flask. They knew what to do, since we've been doing it for years.

"And what color is it ma'am?" A house elf asked. "Green."

"Happy Birthday to you!" We all sang while Sirius was telling us "five more minutes...." "Oi! Padfoot wake up!" Prongs yelled.

He reluctantly did it and we went ahead getting and dressed. We then went to breakfast, to which I told him I needed to use the loo. He was of course, suspicious but I went ahead. After he was out of sight I called Lucy, and she gave me a plate of pancakes, since I was going to Potions class next.

"Thanks a lot, Sirius will probably be mad at me so yeah." "It was a pleasure serving Mistress."

She said and disappeared. I went ahead and went to the class and made another potion, which was the "antidote" when in reality, will just change his hair to another color.

"LUCY "LUMMIE" ROSS!!" I heard before the door slammed open. "Yes, Sirius Orion "Padfoot" Black?" I said calmly, "I DEMAND AN ANTIDOTE!"

"I was worried you would say that, but I do have it here." I gave him the potion and he drank all of it. His hair then became gold.

"Look in the Mirror," I said when he suddenly told me, "I think I look good in this." "Oh, really?" I said raising an eyebrow. "Yes, really." He said in a cocky tone.

  It was my turn to be pranked but, we had to move it for Moony, it was a full moon on my birthday. I don't mind though, it's not like it's his fault. We were all under the cloak waiting for Madame Pomfrey to come out with Remus and take him to the Whomping Willow. They eventually came out and Peter was already is his animagus form. He was on my shoulder when I noticed that Snivellus was watching Moony as well.

  "Look at Snivellus over there," I whispered so just that Prongs, Padfoot, And Wormtail could hear me. I saw them turn around to where I was pointing when Padfoot snickered.

  Madame Pomfrey got out and Snape ran back into the castle. When we saw that there was nobody, I put the cloak in a plant pot, and went ahead and morphed. Wormtail was already pressing the knot and we all went down the tunnel. Moony had already turned when we got there.

And let me tell you, that was a restless night.

   We went to sleep at 5am. So we of course only slept for 1 hour. Well at least I did. Everyone woke up at 7 but I woke up at 6. I went for water first, and then changed. I was wearing an oversized muggle shirt that I had bought because, why not? When I went down, I saw that Lily was there.

  "What happened to you?" She blurted out, "Sorry I didn't mean it like that." "Oh no, it's fine, I assume that I look like a mess," She nodded, "Well, I had a restless night." "Was it—-" "Ew! Not like that Lily!" I said making a disgusted face. She laughed and asked what it was.

  "It's really not my tale to say, he'll tell you when he does." "Is it James? Because I'm fine not listening to that toerag." Lily scoffed, "Why do you even hang out around them?" "They are actually pretty cool." "I don't believe you." She said jokingly but I knew she kinda meant it.

  "Why didn't Sirius prank you yesterday? I know it's a tradition." "Remus wasn't there, and you can't have a birthday without the whole set!" Lily laughed and we went down to the kitchens together.

  "I've never been here before!" She exclaimed. "We're going for a friend first though. Her name is Penny and she's in Hufflepuff. Their common room is near the kitchens so..." "Oh yeah, that fine." And so on, the day went on.

  A week later, Moony was back and we used the Marauders Map to help us see him, you had to be careful around that boy. We saw a dot called, Lily Evans go with him. "Tosser." Prongs muttered. "Jealous aren't you Prongs?" I teased. He scoffed and soon he came in.

  We went to sleep and I woke up to singing and the delicious smell of cake. Every year when our birthdays are on a full moon, we save our presents for later. We had already given Sirius' and now it was my turn. We went to the great hall, and the Marauders waited patiently.

  I drank the goblet and saw that Padfoot ran off, laughing. "What is it?" I said, shutting my eyes. "It's a replica of yours." Moony said, laughing a bit. I ran off to find him, and found him in the Potions room, waiting for me.

"Liking it?" He said with a sly smirk. "I demand an antidote." "Here," he said giving me the potion. I drank it and saw that my hair turned silver. "Gold and silver, get it?" I laughed and sat down next to him, while everyone filed in.
