*Lucys POV*
And so, Lyra Aries Sirius Black was born at 1:07am in St. Mungos.
After a lot of things happening afterwards in the delivery room that I wouldn't ant to talk about, everyone arrived after the healers declared me recovered.
Huddled in the room, everyone had had their turn with holding Lyra.
I looked at her in my arms, she might've just been the death of me.
I heard a small sigh from her and she looked up at me.
"Lucy? We—" Remus said, but we had all focused on Lyra.
"Look at her eyes." I softly said.
Her left eye had been just the same as Sirius' as it was a light grey. Lyra's right eye however, was like I was looking in a mirror.
I could've sworn I felt Sirius melt into the ground.
She had barely been born and we were already in love with her.
"Her eyes look just like yours," Peter said to the both of us.
"Thanks," Padfoot and I said simultaneously.
Alice and Frank had arrived a little late due to Neville and Augusta, but I preferred to call her Mrs. Longbottom. Made sure that you didn't offend her, and in all honestly, I think she's more intimidating than Mad-Eye Moody.
Sometimes I can still hear the "Constant vigilance!" He used to scream out everywhere.
We still hadn't decided who would be the godparents, but we were leaning towards James and Lily to return the favor and Newt and Aries as a safety net.
Just in case the worst things happened.
Lily couldn't see Lyra because they were busy with Harry and her recovery with James helping her (willingly) with everything he could.
After learning that we'd have to try and breastfeed Lyra after everyone had left or until we felt comfortable enough, we decided to try once everyone had left.
Lyra seemed like she was out of it.
Until she finally got the hang of it.
"Does it hurt?" Sirius asked.
"Yeah," I said.
He eyed the healer that was leaving. Once she had been out of earshot, he whispered to me, "Bloody child took long enough. If it were me I would've gotten it the first try."
"Sirius. There's a child. Keep it family friendly."
"Come on, you know you miss it," he flirted.
"Might just at this moment," I admitted. The pain had transitioned into tolerable, but you still felt it.
"I can fix that problem," Padfoot started to crack his knuckles.
"You can, but you shouldn't."
"Pregnancy's changed you," he eyed me playfully.
"Perhaps," I said keeping my eyes on Lyra and whispering 'hi' to her, "But I like this change."
"Me too."
