Lumos ⤳ sirius black

Chapter 9, The Qudditch Pitch.

*Lucy's POV*

READY FOR GRYFFINDOR TO BEAT RAVENCLAW, JAMES looked like the Gryffindor Lion had vomited on him.

Since the match would be the first of the season, the entire school had been buzzing about it. Especially the first years.

"Who do you think will win?"
"Nah, not them."
"What about Ravenclaw?"
"Place your bets here!"
"Thank you!"

   Ok, well the last one wasn't really related when you think about it, but the person had just finished placing their bets.

James was way worse.
"I KNOW Gryffindor will win."
"Can't believe it's that close!"
"I'll wear everything Gryffindor related."

I was sick of it, and made him something to shut him up, it was a lion headpiece. It was enchanted to look like a real one. I was going to make it roar but it was going a bit too far. At least for James.

"Thank you so much!"
"It's amazing!"
"Brilliant!"

Sirius and James were sharing their attire as much as possible, he wanted Gryffindor to win way more than anyone else wanted Gryffindor to.

"Its just a game!" I told them.

"Just a game?"

"Just a game, can you believe it James?"

"Ok, it not just a game bu—"

"She admitted it!"

   And like that I knew to shut up. We were walking down the courtyard and Gryffindors and Hufflepuff were complimenting James hat while Ravenclaw and Slytherin were snickering. You knew who was on whose side.

"AND STRYKER CATCHES THE SNITCH! GRYFFINDOR WON!"

Loud cheering from everywhere but mostly from Gryffindors. Remus had fallen asleep and the yelling had woke him up.

"C'mon Remus." I said trying to help him.

James and Sirius were already down Congratulating the Seeker and everything of sorts like that, Peter had stayed behind as well.

   "I'm fine." said a stubborn Remus, "No, you're not and— just let me help you Remus!"

He finally gave up and put a arm around me and I did the same. We went to the attic since I couldn't go up to the boys common room since it was noisy, because of Gryffindor winning the match.

Me and Peter left him on his nook, "I'm going to get some food from downstairs, do you want something." I asked Peter, "Well, chips. I'm not that hungry."

    I nodded and left to get food, "Fortuna Major."

I told the fat lady and the portrait swung open, letting the noise out.

"Ugh." I groaned, I was on the mood that specifically fond of parties. I had tried to get there and I saw some chocolate cake.

I took three pieces, and some tortilla chips. I looked around to see where the hell they were.

Then I spotted Sirius, and James spotted me while a girl was snogging Sirius.

My stomach clenched and I felt a feeling I got too much, jealousy.

I was quickly confused at my own reaction. Jealousy?

I got out as fast as possible and heard footsteps and knew that it was James.

"Lucy!" said James as I was leaving the room. "Can you take this to Remus and Peter?" He looked confused, "You know where they are, and you'll know where I'll be."

I gave him the food and left running. This could not be happening, I couldn't have developed feelings for Sirius.

We were friends and that was all, wasn't it? I stopped near the lake and climbed a tree. The breeze was cold and made me shiver.

"Lucy," James panted, "Are you ok?"

"Not really."

"Well then, can you please come down?"

"Can you climb up?"

He groaned.

too lazy, I thought.

He climbed up and I helped him up.

"Do you like him?" He asked, "Y'know, Sirius?"

I put my head on my hands, "I think so."

"What do you mean 'I think so'?You should know!"

I gave him a look and said, "Maybe I do, maybe I don't, maybe I'll pay a visit to Hagrid."

And with that I jumped off and James tried to do so as well, making him stumble a little bit into the lake.

"C'mon Lucy, don't be like that."

And I froze, I froze because I have been told that more than a million times.

I froze because I hated existing, and I hated it even more when people tell me to change.

I froze up, and James knowing what he did, apologized. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that."

And I turned to him and said, "I know you didn't, because most people don't realize that they hurt me and you did. And I thank you for that."

I thanked him because he was the first to apologize for saying something that hurt me.

  I knew he hadn't told Sirius about what had happened because it never came up.

We hanged around in the kitchens, the library, and in the Hospital Wing.

Remus had felt sick and we went to the hospital wing and the kitchens to get the chocolate.

Unfortunately it had been me and Sirius who went to get the chocolate.

It was quite uncomfortable and awkward for me, while Sirius was in fact oblivious.

I hated that feeling I felt right there, the one when you want to say something but you can't, you just can't.

I thought coming to Hogwarts would make it happen less often but it didn't.

"Lucy?" Asked Sirius taking me away from my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"What type of chocolate should we bring Remus, Hot chocolate, chocolate bar, chocolate powder—"

"We should bring all of them and then have this amazing chocolate fest!" I said smiling and tickling the pear.

The pear giggled, which made me giggle, which made Sirius giggle. Does that make sense? We went inside and grabbed all of the chocolate we could carry.

When Remus saw all of the chocolate he almost fainted, "All of this? For me?"

Sirius and I looked at each other, "We not just for you, but for all of us, Peter we brought some cheese for you too."

His eyes lit up and the feast began! We were talking for hours, and since it was the second last Sunday of the school year, Madam Pomfrey shooed us all out and insisted Remus get some rest.

   We talked and talked, but Remus stayed in the hospital wing. After several hours later we sneaked in and slept with Remus.
