*Lucys POV*

"Did you see her?" I asked frantically.

"Of course I did, I'm not blind!" Sirius said playfully as we looked at Lyra.

Hair was starting to grow on her head, and it had just turned into the colors I had shown her. A silence took over, before Lyra started laughing again.

"Little devil, aren't you?" I said before picking her up. "I'm headed to Alice's as soon as you're leaving. It feels weird having an empty house; even if it had just been the two of us."

Sirius motioned for me to put Lyra in his arms, and so I did.

"Funny how silent it is, innt?"

"Yeah," I admitted quietly.

Lyra was falling asleep.

"She's falling asleep," Sirius whispered, as if in awe.

I hummed a slight melody, and she fell asleep peacefully. Sirius still cradled her.

"She's so tiny," He whispered, "She was tinier before, but shes still tiny."

"It's a tiny human, what did you except?" I whispered back to him.

"I didn't expect her to be so beautiful," he smiled, "She gets that from you."

"What can I say?" I told him, taking her back in my arms and putting her in her crib.

Sirius hugged me from behind. "I missed you so much."

I turned to face him, "Trust me, I missed you more."

We both leaned in into each other, and kissed.

"I love you," He said into my hair.

"I love you more," I whispered into his chest. "You abuse your privileges of me being short y'know?"

"What can I say?" Sirius told me, quoting what I had said earlier.

I raised an eyebrow, "You can say way more." His smile growing, Sirius looked at me and Lyra, me, and Lyra.

"You do know..she's asleep, right?" He asked cheekily.

"Merlin Sirius! Is that all you think about?" I said, a playful smile on my face.

"I can't resist it when I'm with you love," Sirius said, raising an eyebrow.

"I hate you." I decided, my head on his chest.

"No you don't," he replied.

"No, I don't."

Lyra and Harry were what you could describe as playing, but it's hard to as they were both, very much, just enjoying each other's company.

"Harry's been an angel so far, but I'm expecting the worst to come," Lily said sipping her cup of tea, "What about Lyra?"

"Well," I started, "she's not being a troublemaker, but she..surprised me about a week ago."

"What do you mean?" James asked.

"Look," I said getting Lyra's attention, a show of my blouse enough to change her hair a pastel blue.

"She's a metamorphmagus?" James asked, "How did that happen?"

"At this point, I don't know," I said, "But it'll come handy when she's at Hogwarts I bet."

Lily rolled her eyes at me, a smile forming slowly after it.

"It's true," I told her as she nodded, the smile on her face only growing more and more.

Lyra smiled as she looked up at me, her eyes full of wonder.

"You're beautiful Ly," I told her, "I love you so much."

As I laid her down on her crib, she reached out for her thestral plush as she nibbled on it.

"Do you think having a thestral plush is a bit...sadistic?"

"Possibly. But she likes it, and that's all that matters really." I told Sirius, "Look at her smile, how could you ever want to change that?"

"I would never," Sirius said, his tone adoring.

I turned to look at him. "I'm glad that happened."

"Me too," He said, "The jewel of our crown."

I snorted, "Never in a billion years would I think you would ever say that in your whole entire life."

"Surprise," he said with a weak tone.

"I'm very surprised," I joked, walking out of the room. My eye went to a letter sitting on the coffee table.

I picked it up, and saw that was from Dumbledore.

Dear Sirius and Lucy,

Lyra has come up as a topic in the Order, meaning that there's a very good chance that the spy got some information. It'd be easier if you moved to a more secret location, there's a cabin located by the sea out west if you're interested. But I'd say it'd be at your and Lyra's best interest to move out of a place you can easily be tracked at.

Dumbledore.

Sirius came up from behind me and hugged me by my waist.

"What are you reading?" He asked, resting his head on my shoulder.

"Read it yourself," I said, giving him the letter as he stood up, taking it and reading it.

"Are you writing back?"

"It's not like I can't," I said, "wouldn't you?"
