Chapter 44, Gryffindors' First Match.

*Lucys POV*

  It was our first match, and I had gotten better. Lucy (the house elf) helped us, since we knew our secret was safe with her. My back still aches, a lot actually, but I needed to be here for the Quidditch team. I seriously am starting to sound like my great-aunt Tessa.

"And here comes the Gryffindor team!" There were loud cheers. We mounted our brooms, captains shook hands, snitch and bludgers released, and the whistle blew. It was raining, but not too hard which was good.

    After a while, it had been 70-90, and the snitch was no where to be found. I saw a gleam of gold and went off in that direction, but then, there was nothing. After about 5 minutes, I saw another, if not the same, Gold gleam and this time it was the snitch.

"And Lucy is in the chase of the golden snitch, Koley right behind her!" Lynn shouted. I knew his name from a friend that was a friend of his.

I sped up, not wanting the seeker to be next to me. In the chase of trying to stop him, he did go to my side, and tried to push me as I was trying to go for the snitch. I almost fell, what? 30 feet? I tried to return the favor but saw that he was an inch away from getting the snitch. I did an incredibly stupid thing, jumped out of my broom, diving for the snitch.

  I caught it but I was falling, I took my wand out and shouted, "Accio Comet 260!" The broom rushed to me, and I saved myself from a particularly nasty fall. I landed safely, and held the snitch proudly in my hand.

  James was the first down, but I could see that he was scared. At least for me, "Don't you ever try that again," I shrugged and said jokingly, "It's a good strategy."

  The rest of the team came down and off we went to the common room, as everyone was heading back. Sirius tackled me in a hug.

  "Don't try that ever again! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I laughed and said, "I love you too." We held hands and talked.

  "So," he started, "Do you remember that bet that we did last week? Because I believe that you are going with me to Hogsmeade if I remember correctly."

  I scoffed, "Yeah you remember a dream," He rolled his eyes. "But yes, I will go with you."

  His eyes lit up, "Really?" I nodded, "Well then, James owes me 5 galleons." And with that he ran off. I opened a book and studied, I needed my N.E.W.Ts desperately.

  The door opened to reveal a Remus Lupin. "Hey," he said weakly, "Hey, how are you doing?"

  "Never felt better," Moony said sarcastically, "How the fuck do you think I feel?"

  "Moony! What have we talked about before!?" I asked him, "You're a werewolf, not a swearwolf!" We said together.

  "You're going to Hogsmeade right?" I asked him. "I don't feel good, so I probably will stay this time."

  "I'll bring you chocolate," "Thanks." He sounded...a bit down. I mean, he normally sounds tired after a full moon, but this time he sounded plain sad.

  "Are you ok?" I asked him, "Yeah I'm fine, but I did hear that you dived from your broom to the snitch and almost died on Friday so that was good to hear."

  I scoffed, "Yeah, it was terrifying but I would totally do it again. It's the adrenaline that ma—"

  "Good, good but I really need to sleep." He interrupted me. I rolled my eyes and said goodnight.

  I opened the door to the common room and saw that Lily and James were talking. I grabbed Prongs' invisibility cloak and waiting for the moment to slither out o& the door.

James said something and she laughed, as she hid her hands which made James laugh. Prongs closed his eyes when he laughed so I took that as an advantage and went out. Lily and James locked eyes, and my heart was beating because, !!! . James leaned in and Lily was leaning in too. I was so hard to not make any squealing noises.

Finally, they kissed. I could faint. When they broke apart which seemed like ages they just looked at each other, "That was...." Prongs started, "Something." Lily finished. I entered the dorm again.

Sirius had gone to the kitchens, Moony was sleeping, and Wormtail was I don't even know where. I laid on my bed, thinking when Prongs came in. I jumped out of the bed and on him.

"I saw that!" I told him, and even though there was barely any light,I could see his blush. "All right, I did kiss Lily Evans." I squealed and then Padfoot came in.

"Pads!" I said jumping off of Prongs and on to Padfoot. "James kissed Lily!" I told him. He almost dropped me. I mumbled and got off.

  "No!" Sirius said, "Yes!" Me and Prongs said. "No!" He said, flopping into his bed. "Yes!" James said dreamily.

  "Should I ask her out?" Prongs asked us. "Yes!" "No!" "But what if she says no?"

  "She'll say no Prongs,"
  "She'll say yes Padfoot,"
  "No."
  "Yes."
  "No."
  "Yes."

    "I'll wait and see if she asks me first." Prongs said, "Then,  I'll say yes." I groaned while Padfoot silently celebrated. "Fuck you Pads."
