Chapter 49, N.E.W.Ts.

*Lucys POV*

The morning was, if possible, even colder than the day before. As soon as the testing had begun for N.E.W.Ts, the teachers became stricter than ever.

They all gave us even more homework, and it was obvious who wanted to actually pass them, and those who had no interest in them. (James and Sirius...) Moony didn't try because werewolves are very misunderstood. And many jobs don't let them apply anyways.

"Come on Lucy," Sirius whined, "I already said no Pads." I told him, "But all you want to do is study! Can't you stop for a little? You deserve a break."

He really can't take no for an answer can he?
Nope.

"Whine and be as stubborn as you want, I need to study." I told him, as stubborn as he was actually. "Please?"

I ignored him but he just took my ink bottle. "Pads!" He smirked triumphantly, "Tell me that you'll take a break. At least a 20 minute one," I gave in and he gave it back.

"So what did you have in min—" and then he kissed me. "Shall we take this somewhere else?" He whispered. "Yes," I said hoarsely. We went to the hideout and took it a step further.

I woke up with Sirius next to me. I carefully got up and put on a sweater and pants that I kept here incase anything happened. It was rather cold, and I went down to the common room again. My stuff was still there. Few people were there, and I went unnoticed.

"Hey," Prongs said, and I could see and hear it in his tone that he knew.

"Shut up Potter," I said trying to hide my embarrassment. "Oh? And why is that?" I gave him a glare but his grin only grew larger.

"I don't want to hear it. And if you tell a living soul I will end you. Okay?"

Prongs still had his idiot grin on and just said, "Ok." I rolled my eyes and kept on studying. "It was about time you two did it. Now that's a way of making it official."

I was getting irritated by the millisecond but James as bloody oblivious he was kept on talking. "I'm trying to study Prongs! Plus, everyone already knows that we're together!"

"Well I don't think your fan club that always hangs on your very last word would care if you two were a thing anyways."

"What?" He pointed to a group behind him that indeed were trying to look like they were talking but were looking at me. "Wow thanks for telling me that there are people who stalk me."

"You're welcome." He stayed quiet but then continued, "I don't know why you study you study so much, you'll inheritance your family's money, and Padfoot will probably support you and your family with his money once you guys get married."

I hexed him and continued to study. "Really?" I kept my eyes on my book and notes. "Hmm?"

"The antlers?" Prongs said annoyed. I looked up and saw him with antlers. The Anteoculatia hex made horns or antlers grow from your head. "Oh that. Isn't it normal for you?"

"Haha very funny," He said dryly. As he left I triumphantly smiled at making him finally leave.

With all of this mess, you would think we weren't going to try to win the Quidditch cup again did you? Because we did.

It went normally, Madame Hooch did everything the same, and the things that Jordan said during the match was quite the catch.

As we mounted our brooms and the game began I could make out Regulus on the other side, a chaser whispering and pointing at something to him.

Prongs had already put a point in, and more were trying to as well.

The snitch had been hiding for quite some while, as we had started the match at noon, and the sun looked as if it were 3 o'clock.

  As the search for the snitch continued for both me and Regulus, we were plenty tired.

  "Hey Lums, hurry up catching the snitch alright? I'm really hungry and—" and I cut him off, as I had seen a glint of shiny gold near the Slytherin beater. It was a bit dangerous considering that the Slytherins probably wanted to kill me, but I dove in right away.

  Regulus had found it too, as he shouted something at the beater and the snitch moved quickly once again.

  "And Gryffindor seeker, Lucy, has found the snitch! Regulus Black, the Slytherin seeker right behind her!"

  I urged my broom to go faster but we were quickly shoulder to shoulder.

"I'll tell Sirius you said 'hi' then?"

"..."

"Ok I will!"

The snitch kept on going, and it went everywhere. Well, everywhere in the Quidditch pitch, though it did go outside of it once.

  As I was in the middle of the pitch, where everyone else was, I had to be careful with bludgers and quaffles and everything that could be thrown at me.

  As I finally got close to the snitch, I extended my arm and closed it around the snitch, declaring my win.

Then a bludger hit me in the back.

  Even though after a week I was fine, Madame Pomfrey would only let me out for meals and exams. After 3 days of this, I simply decided to convince her about it and she reluctantly agreed.
 
The exams took even longer than I thought they would and were actually pretty easy.

"I think I got pretty good grades." I said, "I hope I got at least exceeds expectations. I at least showed up!"

I scoffed but continued eating, "Then why did you even show up?" Padfoot shrugged, "I got bored, and so did Prongs. He just waited for Lily to come out," Sirius pointed to where Prongs and Lily were talking, and eventually kissing.

Remus came up to us. "How did you do in your exams?" "I aced them. I'm sure. I'm pretty sure. Wow, I sure hope so." I said. "I'm sure you did fine."

"My least favorite question was definitely #28." He nodded and continued to avoid the subject. Honestly I would too, why did I even bring it up?
